tall2ce: Good morning I just got an email from HYT to come for an interview for a senior position I applied for and I would like your candid view on their professionalism I don't like wasting my time as I have so many interviews and would rather attend the useful ones . One thing though that did raise a red flag for me was in the email they requested I bring along my CV? Are they kidding me ? I applied and they should have my resume already . .from experience I have noticed it's bad when an agency ask you to bring your resume along ...but I don't want to conclude yet till I hear from you Cheers |

Lakeside79: If you are sure you didn't apply for job in the company, then you should not go. But it seems you applied going by what you wrote up there. Normally one would expect them to have your resume already printed out from the HR mail, however I don't think that should be a reason for not taking the job serious. Where, I was contacted via phone call for the interview and was asked to come along with my CV which I did. After the interview, I was told I will be contacted. I received a call from the company two weeks after and was asked to send my CV again to an email address which I did. Few hours later I was called to come for my offer letter and also prepare to start work the next morning. It was when I resumed that I learnt the person who conducted the interview was actually on leave and the board had already approved my appointment but they could not lay hands on my resume as at that moment and needed to include my address on the appointment letter. If I had judged them as unserious for asking for my resume after conducting an interview for me, I would still be on the street hoping for the best which I had used my bad judgement thrown in the gutter. Not trying to give excuse for them o, but their request for your resume you already sent earlier could be as a result of factors best known to them which you may not be privy to now. 17 Likes 2 Shares |
