That's why i don't have a phone number or SIM card in my phone, i just download a textme app on my phone and get a free phone number

You spend the greater part of your time convincing already jubiliant friends or family that you are not in Nigeria because your number is showing as a Nigerian number on their side.

This is true. Whenever i call Nigeria directly with my Lycamobile it will show my Lyca number, but if i use call card my peole for Nigeria will be saying ''Are you in Nigeria, you didn't tell me you are around O!''

Just received a call from the UK right now and I didn't face this issue. I also called back and spoke for 2:12 minutes and I was charged 72 naira which seems fair.

The major problem hear is can't call the said number back.

I had a phone interview with a recruiter from Dubai, the number appearing on my phone was a glo network, I thought she was in Nigeria. After the interview, my interviewer said I could call back. I tried calling after some days, I couldn't reach the person. That's how I lost contact.
