I don't really know much about housing there since I got my family house to stay but just a confirmation from my brothers who base said is in between the region of 150kcfa upward for the exclusively rich areas per month which doesn't cover your electricity and water bills. then about your concluding part I don't know what kind of foodstuff but assure that can drinks and all kinds of soft drinks do sell well there.

150,000k cfa in a month and this should be around 75,000 naira. This is on a high side. Why not look for a good state in Nigeria and relocate.Must it be Abidjan?

My brodas I need assistance biko. if u are a Nigerian who has lived in Abidjan for over 6 months u can be of immense assistance. I landed a job with GTbank here in Abidjan and I came from Naija to resume on the 26th of June 2017 as an account officer. I need accounts biko. I don't know anywhere apart from the road from my house in Angré to my office in Plateau n back again. yet I have to open 20 accounts weekly and bring huge deposits. All that is possible but I need contacts, I need good friends. I have been at the Embassy many times but there is no motivation there. I am ready to work but I need a board to spring. My new colleagues see me as a threat they are not willing to help. But I won't go down without a fight.
my name is Abel, an Akwa Ibomite, but firstly a full blooded Nigerian. Gtbank give loans to credible customers and Transfers are real-time online. This is my number +225 85 46 25 54.

I'm a sailor (Able Seaman with over five years working experience onboard seagoing vessels) and I also have HND in Mass Communication.

Okay. If you are determined, you go and learn basic french.. enroll for maybe 3-6 months intensive or basic course.. then trust me you are better off other ivorian sea men or whosoever.

And if you cant for one way or the other learn french, then You can look for a private shipping company that recruits people like you (that speaks english over there).

Now my Question is dint you get one by applying or through online already.. Cos i dont think seamen use to lack job seriosly... especialy experienced ones. lets talk more. my signature = my whatsapp.

Goodday.

25k can get you a self contain (studio, that's the term for self contain houses here), but it all depends on the Area of town, places like bingerville are quite affordable to live.

As for the transportation, like several others have mentioned earlier, go to Maza-Maza, young shall grow park and make inquiry there as prices of things changes constantly in Nigeria, you can't be too sure. If you are traveling for this first time, your best bet of transportation should be the young shall grow group, this is because, they offer a direct route that is, Lagos - Abidjan direct. And they charge you not only for the transport fare, depending on the document you are using, they will include bribes they give to customs, immigration police, DLEA, etc. in there charges. Mind you, if you pay those charges, they will be responsible for the settling of these authorities I just mention, not you. And the most difficult boarders is the Nigerian SEME borders, other borders are easy. But i will advise anyone coming to come with their proper documents - passport, yellow card showing you have been given the meningitis and yellow fever vaccines shot, if you fail to do this, you will force to shell out unnecessary money on the way.

You can live of 46k/90,000cfa monthly if you are the type that economize, because foodstuffs are cheap here.

There are Nigerian schools for kids here and their standards are exactly what you will get in Nigerian, the teachers are Nigerians too and they operate the same Nigerian system of education. They aren't much expensive too.

I hope this helps.

Hello bro can u link one to.any of these schools there where one can submit CV or apply directly for a post?

Just landed in Abidjan today. Trying to settle but this language barrier is a real Bleep up. Chijoke Mbanefo (High life musician from Anambra state) is performing this night but how to find my way there is a complex problem. We came together with his music group through the young shall grow but my dumb and deaf nature has restricted my stay to my room alone.

life here is very cool but everything is expensive except their women and food. Only God can save a single guy in his country. The language barrier is real but I have been trying to settle.
