This is funny sha.

One of the most inportant things people have to understand before getting married is that your partner is not the last person you will be attracted to, not the last person you will fall in love with and not the last person you will want to have sex with. If you can accept this and also see that you are not the last person your partner will love , you can move forward.

While the information you gave is vague but telling someone you love person or still love them is NOT cheating. It is you admitting how you feel. Now if he choose to act on those feelings, it is different kettle of fish.

But then there are two things to (sacarstically) consider here.

Men are scum: See all men are cheats and disgusting dogs and you can't trust any of us so that man is obviously thrash

Yourba men are demons: She married a yoruba demon grin grin. It is said that the only marriage a yoruba man is faithful in is an open marriage.
If men are scums, and Mynd44 is a man, therefore, Mynd44 is a scum undecided

If a man and woman are still in touch with an ex and discussing such issues then anything can happen move on he ain't worth your time or energy it's just as good as cheating be if he was to meet with her in the flesh what do you think would happen?
If you say an ex it means it's over but if you still telling each other you still love then obviously it's not over, his gonna cheat on you so either accept or move on

You should ban yourself for that demeaning remark on Yoruba men. You are always to ban others here for the same reason. Now ban yourself for breaking rule 2. If you don't ban yourself, then you're nothing but a stark hypocrite!

I'm not from any of the major tribes in Nigeria, but the above comment by you is tribalistic and it isn't even funny. You have been in this forum for a while, you should know better than stoking the embers of tribal hatred. The issue highlighted by the OP is one of suspected cheating, it has nothing to do with the tribe of the suspected cheater. Your comment is so wrong that I don't know how to type a response.

I normally avoid Romance section threads like a plague, but I just had to respond to the above comment.

The African society is polygamous by nature. It is the Europeans who forced their culture on us.

Any Yoruba man who has more than one lover is obeying the command that says 'Go into the world and multiply'. It didn't say go to one woman or go into one house. grin grin

No sensible person receives marital advice from the frustrated ladies on Nairaland. Most of them come from dysfunctional homes where love, forgiveness, faithfulness and unity are alien concepts.

The poster you quoted wants the man's wife to live a frustrated life just like the poster.

if he should be the unrepentant chronic cheat..yes,for one's safety.cos there many uncountable dangers ahead..they are prone to domestic violence ,,when they see nothing interesting in their wife any longer..they will go extra mile to obliterate her existence. .well it applies to some men though.
