Either use a Samsung, A tecno, or an iPhone.

Any other product is trash like actual trash!

Infinix gionee and the rest I don't even patronise these products, I've had really awful xperiences with them.

How many brands have u tried? you mentioned Samsung yes it's a good brand but remember Samsung is the only phone where the screen is half the phone price when u want to replace it. And again you think Samsung, iPhone and Tecno are the best phones.... my guy you are on Long tin! if u see phone brands ehn u go run mad

Deep lie. I have used the M5 marathon series. Great phone but I tell yoi even my phantom 6+ falls always and on solid concrete floors and nothing dey happen.
Go for quality phones and stop generalising with their low grade phones.

Sorry OP for your experience with gionee marathon M5. But I can assure u that gionee is a good brand because I currently use M5 and ever since I bought it I ve never had any bad feelings owning it.

The phone has a very strong battery, looks classy and very perfect in roaming. What I presently use in the US, is a gionee phone bought from a dealer shop in Nigeria. SIM cards in the US are renowned for phone selection. I took my gionee phone to an AT&T outlet to get a SIM card, after my friends discouraged me that it will not work, that I will need to buy a network enhanced phone or better still buy the phone I will use the SIM with here in the states. I disagreed with them and still went ahead to the AT&T outlet with my gionee phone. The phone accepted the SIM and immediately showed signal for network after a very little configuration. The white guy was surprised.

Right now I ve two SIM cards in my gionee marathon M5 phone; airtel Nigeria and AT&T US. I do acknowledge calls on the airtel line with perfect network signal via roaming.

Possibly the gionee M5 phone u bought had a manufacturer's error or was not made by the original gionee phone manufacturer.

For the charger u complained about, u can always get an original charger from an open market. It may not necessarily be a gionee brand because phone chargers are now made universal for use with almost all phones. My gionee charger is still good and charges fast.

Sorry about ur experience.

please bro can you post a photo of the Samsung charger you use for your guinea M5. My original charger got burnt as well, all other branded chargers I have tried did not work. The original one now is way too expensive. Maybe that Samsung charger is exactly what I should be looking for. Please help a brother out.

This is it below. Output current of 2.0A.

Don't go for any charger less than 1.5A output, else it will take ages to charge

Re: The Bitter Experience Of Gionee by Sammyprinceson(f): 2:50pm On Sep 09, 2017
I have been using Gionee M5 close to a year now. Very strong, no issue. Your experience is very unfortunate but u can't use it to generalize. Gionee phones are good, However Gionee M5 does not accept most other Chargers including that infinix head u are talking abt. It happened to me, over 10 different chargers were tried on my M5, the blue light on d screen was indicating that "battery is charging' but no single bar was added till daybreak. On my arrival to d place I bought d charger, some gurus told me that no other charger can charge gionee M5 apart from its follow come charger or a particular charger called "PLAYBOOK". And after 2mins of plugging it on a Playbook charger, it works.

Thank you so much bro. This is exactly the type I need, two pin charger that you could easily slide into your back pocket without much bulge.

Yes. His English is not solid. He's also jobless.
His use of English is very much below par, as claimed by his location. I have seen his comments several times, all I could deduce is a male operating that moniker.

No matter how a female wants to sound/type, be it a T-girl; you would know this person isn't a male. But hes is very much obvious.

Even by date of "time registered" on his profile, people like us can't be deceived. We know them, some oafs were creating female monikers as reserve, for purposes like this.

It's the same in ikeja computer village, their services are extremely poor and their staff are so unprofessional.
I experience it too, u could imagine getting to their office by 8am just to buy charger only for u to be told "we open by 9am go and come back" so annoying ehn. Very poor care guide.

The solution to gionee wahala is for them to stop looking like Samsung (copying Samsung home button).

Next time I will suggest you buy a samsung if you want an andriod phone. I have people using this Gionee and the likes, I realise the graphics is dull unlike Samsung. The touch screen isnt a super smooth experience like Samsung phones. Try a good samsung phone from at least S5 and above. You will enjoy it.

Thanks so much I now know better.

You should have done the insurance with just 5000 for 1 year. If any thing happen to the screen within the insurance year it would be replace for free
