I think this law was hastily thought out. 7 days is too short a time. In the UK, for example, National Express, Megabus and other coaches ply the cities...so why restrict coaches/buses to the fringes of the city of Lagos. I think the problem is traffic control/crowd control and proper sanitation of the surrounding premises of the transport companies. They can be compelled to sit up by arrests, towing vehicles and hefty fines. Moving all of them to the assigned bus-stops has its own issues security viz ease of terrorist attack due to clustering and 'agbero' fight for supremacy of the mega parks, loss of identity of the brands, more traffic on Ikorodu road as more people would be moving down to the stops to board vehicles just to mention a few. Just hope the Government consulted the experts/stakeholders before coming to a hasty decision. 3 Likes |

First they jacked up the cost of brt on the rout. Now they are banning the only reasonable alternative. So hw do I get to apapa from ketu? Your brt can't cater for everyone. They just want to force everyone into the brt. Why don't they test run the policy first before enforcing it. |

I'm sorry, this idea is cack! So people who live in badagry must alight at ojota/ojodu berger then find their way. How about you make ojota the last open inter state bus stop in Lagos. After that, it is the bus company's terminus. 1 Like 1 Share |

One would think Ojota and Berger are already crowded, with insufficient pick-up space for private cars. Lifting Jibowu or Yaba to Ojota/Berger is a frightening thought. It must be obeyed, though. It is the sad state of affairs that anyone who speaks against this will be called Igbo, IPOB or against the development of the host State. The issue will not be the (forced?) use of the new alternative at the Yaba Ultrmodern park or the relocation period, however long. Let IGR rise. |

Omooba77:all interstate park along Ikorodu road alone will be moved to ojota and Berger, any park that's not along Ikorodu road will still remain there. jesu. |
Re: Lagos Bans Interstate Vehicles along Ikorodu Road. by Nobody: 6:41am On Sep 14, 2017 |
ikorodureporta:u've gone off point. 1. we're talking about interstate movement. 2.only interstate parks along Ikorodu road which is not up to 6 excluding the illegal parks are affected. 3. the govt will make ojota and Berger parks bigger to accommodate more commuters. 4.ojota and Berger parks are not far from each other. if u're a traveller n u stay around ikeja, Ketu,Berger..u can alight at Berger park. 5. if u stay around Maryland upward to yaba, u can alight at ojota park and take a city bus to ur destination. 6.for a person like u that's an Ikorodu reporter, u alight at ojota and take ur brt or mini bus to Ikorodu 7.if u don't stay along Ikorodu road, ur interstate parks are still intact. so, where the problem here? |
