You are probably estimating the amount he was payed with the current dollar rate which would be incorrect
well that's a good point u just made.. .but even at that, schlumberger Nigeria's take home pay for fresh graduate isn't up to that every month.. I calculated the dollar rate at 180. SLB doesn't pay that much.

Field bonuses will get above that amount no doubt, but it's not calculated as part of ur monthly salary..

He could have been hired as an expat which is possible. Expat interns can earn more than this, especially adding field bonus

this is true.. expat interns can earn more than this in other countries.. I'm aware that Halliburton posts expat engineering interns directly to Nigeria. but for SLB expat interns are not normally posted. we have cases where engineers are moved from Congo, Brazil etc to Nigeria but most times they aren't interns, they are SLB engineers in other countries..

I'm not adding field bonuses because it's seasonal. during off-peak seasons u might not go to the field.. so it's wrong to base calculations on field bonuses

What exactly is your point? He isn't my mate because he earned a million naira per month or he left a million naira per month job to be a CEO in computer village hawking phones. Common, read that again and see if it makes any sense to you?
It's normal. It's no news that when Nigerian artists become famous and they are interviewed they always give the uneccesary Grass to Grace story. Even Davido.
The truth is that Mr Eazi's Grass to Grace story doesn't add up. He left the Porthacourt job because he wasn't fulfilled to "Hawk"(his word) phones. Are your tying to say he became happy hawking phones? He should have said he left the oil job to hawk phones so that he can have more than enough time to pursue is true passion which is music.

I won't be shocked if you work in computer village because of the uneccesary defense.

FYI, $6000 in 2014 was 1200000 Naira
