To all those that got their Toefl and GRE registered I wish you all the best.

Due to some stuff 4 people back off and there are just 4 slots remaining to complete 15.

Please if you are interested and you have your cash with you, just send me pm and I work with the first 4 emails I get after this post and remember payment before registration is part of the new rules.

Also if you are interested, make sure you already registered your GRE and Toefl account on www.ets.org and if you don't have international passport yet there is no need to contact me for this because you might end up missing the test and no promo offer for rescheduling, also be sure of your test date as well.
Am very much interested. I have sent you a pm sir. Thank you

Yes it's possible but my own advice is follow the lay down rules and if you don't violate it then you are good to go.
OK thanks

Hello everyone, I have an opportunity to study practical nursing in Canada since the Nigerian situation is no longer helping as I have been unemployed since I left the university in 2015 after a second class upper degree in Biochemistry. The issue is this how do I prove ties to my country since I have no job, no business or a wife. I realise that I cannot be the only one who has been in this situation yet succeeded in getting a visa na why I carry the matter come here with all humility. Thank you for your prompt answers...
Right now, certificate alone cannot get you a decent job. Companies are still looking for talents. What are your skills? Have you done the NYSC yet?

If you are planning to go abroad, then you need to stick to the United States and of course, get a nice scholarship that will offset your bills. Forget about Canada for now, it will be difficult for you. undecided

It is a diploma in Practical Nursing, a two years diploma. Admission requirements are secondary sch education and at least one year post secondary.

Thank you. Although no one has given me what I want. I posted this here cause I believe the challenge of proving ties is mutual

Hi,
I realized you've posted this same question in Canada Student visa section here on Nairaland..
So, it will be better to wait for them to reply you because the visa requirements for USA student visa and Canada student visa are not the Same..

NB: This's USA student Visa section not Canada..

Wishing you all the very best wink

Yes I have done my Nysc. Before looking for decent ones fa anyone to survive first. Sometimes I wonder if there are no jobs in PH. On the other hand, why do you suggest that Canada will be more difficult than the US? Thank you

I was going through my page this morning and stumbled on this piece from one of my mentors on LinkedIn.. I think I should share bcz we have people on this platforms rendering selfless services in their capacity... Bravo guys..

"Helping others is an attitude. You don't need to have a lot or know a lot.
I see poor people helping homeless, and rich educated people passing by. I see jobless people referring other jobless people, and people in the position of power not responding to requests for help. It is so easy to refer someone to someone else.
Real help is done when nobody is watching, when we don't expect anything in return.
"You have not lived today if you did not help someone who can never repay you."

a friend has a 2-2 degree (3.47) in biochemistry, a pgde(post graduate diploma in eduation), and he has been in teaching for a while. He is looking at scholarship, job opportunity and fat salary after a MS degree in U.S. Which is more appropriate for him, a Ms in biochemistry or in Edu?. Thanks

Perhaps, he believes he can curse his way out of Rex Tillerson's clampdown. The more amazing thing is that this person wants to go to "school" but cannot bear to read a news report and re-consider his plans in light of the new information.

I dont even understand his fears, if he's actually going to study, he has nothing to be scared of.

this your friend (or you) is a very funny human being aswear, your friend (or you) has not even landed a decent school, and is already thinking of all the freshly minted dollars from his citi checking account grin grin grin. Well, your friend(or you) would most likely not be admitted into a graduate education program, at a reputable university, because your friend(or you) does not have the required prerequisite bachelor credit units, and our Nigerian PGDE isn't considered at all in the admission process. My advice is that your friend( or you) should continue along the part of biochemistry and look towards a funded MSc. First as usual, you friend(or you) is encouraged to write the GRE and ace it, then get very strong recommendation letters and an awesome SOP. (your friend (or you) should check out the GRE thread in the education section). Finally; your friend(or you) should do away with the Nigerian spirit of "Money is the koko", strive to put in excellence in your endeavors, anything worth doing is worth doing well; also learn some programming and statistics, Biochemistry+tech = money minting machine grin grin grin grin grin

1. Sponsorship, 2. Visa, 3. Work experience

There are still jobs in Nigeria. PH, etc. Even here on Nairaland. Jobs are being posted on a daily basis. I even got one contract job on Nairaland last year and I made some cool cash. cheesy

It's all about being smart my brother. Anything you need is on this site.
