i've had so many occasions where i could have eaten this snake meat but each time it happens something just takes me away from that area and before i get back everything has been declared... Perhaps God doesn't want me to eat that thing.

Somebody cannot eat again

Hmmm....killing and eating the snake..... snake meat not on my diet but for others I can understand.... but eating the dead antelope already soaked with digestive juices is what vultures do...not human. I fear some vultures people.

These frequent snake killings and other wildlife by Nigerians in the name of hunger is a proof that Nigeria has really lost total control of everything in the country. No one knows better than the almighty God who created these creatures in balance (Genesis 1:24,25) for the environment in order to have harmonious coexistence with others not as a one species human habitat alone, no wonder we are at loggerhead with each other and diseases such ebola, Lassa fever, etc are finding their way back as vectors are having field day from their holiday from their natural predators. Its a shame we think all animals must be devoted to death and consumed whenever they are sighted. No legislation is protecting anything in Nigeria only crass recklessness, corruption and ill planning. One thing is for sure what we sow shall we reap and as we lay the bed of Nigeria will we sleep on it. The current situation is just simply not sustainable as constant plundering of the environment has continued unabated and has started to affect other socioeconomic life in Nigeria. This has culminated in Fulani herds men incursion down south causing conflicts with farmers and other communities due to the desertification of the northern parts and IPOB and south-south agitation due to resource control and incessant pollution of their environment. The truth is we've been sweeping all these plethora of issues under the carpet thinking it will get better. We only have no one but ourselves fooled as the consequence is ours to suffer at the end of the day. Lobatan.

OK, let me get this story straight.
1. This python swallowed an antelope
2. These folks butchered the python for meat
3. And that wasn't enough, they also dug up the swallowed antelope and butchered that one .... for meat, as well
