Sister, I think some people saw just that portion of the clip and took the whole message out of context. I was there when She preached the message at THE ROCK CATHEDRAL -HOUSE ON THE ROCK, Lagos. She was trying to encourage women and contrary to what some people have said here...if you follow her messages, you will find that she is an encourager of women...and pro family, She's even shared many times how she was failing in her own duties as a wife even as a pastor's wife until she had a Devine encounter with God where after Her life turned around.
You have said twice in your post that "All fingers are not equal " and she has answer for that too and that is "must your own be the shortest"... . I think what she is tried to communicate in that message is simple- Don't be a liability hiding under the guise of a "Home maker, house wife etc"....do something for yourself to support your husband.
Finally as a Pastor/Preacher myself , I agree that sometimes in the course of trying to convey a message exegetically or homeneutically..you may say things that can be misunderstood if you don't quickly bring a balance to it...we are still learning and I believe she is too but give it to her...she does has a message from God for our Generation ...buy and listen to the full message and it will bless you. Those with unequal fingers, why not encourage them to wait on God rather than mocking them by asking if theirs must be the shortest. well, for me when I heard what she said it inspired me to be a better woman. 1 million was just an illustration. she was just saying as a woman make sure you make your own money to the extent that your husband can borrow from you instead of going to friends. it might not necessarily be 1M. Thumbs up to all those women who refuse to be a liability.

There's nothing bad in been a better person. she wasn't mocking anyone. Its just an encouragement. I known Gods time is the best but will you keep remaining idle becox Ure waiting for Gods time. when you don't put effort in what you do, when u dont have anything doing and you're praying for God's blessings what exactly do you expect him to bless. For me, am inspired and I knw with hard work I will get to get there, it might not be now but I won't sitdown doing nothing waiting for Gods time. so that when Gods time comes it would meet me diligent in my work.

I don't know why it is so difficult for people to have deep thinking. For a "husband" to ask his "wife" 1 million that means he expect her to have such...probably savings from upkeep money he has been giving her if the woman is a house wife or from savings from her salary. If your wife is working and earning 200k monthly... You are taking care of 100% of the family bills. I think a reasonable woman should be able to provide a million if her husband request for such... White washed sepulchre, that is not point here. She saying that those unequal fingers should be feeling sorry or bad about being the shortest finger is my problem. She has no right to bring down someone's morale. As long as they are doing their best, the rest lie in God's hands. Go and ask job, he will tell you that the longest finger today can be cut off tomorrow without qualms. Encouragement is one thing but shaming people is down low. Too down low.
