Lexus LS was the one that dethroned Mercedes and made Mercedes go back to the drawing board. Since then to today.... Lexus beats Mercedes in reliability and holds its value wayyy longer than a Mercedes. No doubt... this new one is going to be a hot seller.... what I don't like about it is the front.... that's for parking in garages only. On street parking with no bumper?...I can see that grill getting wrecked...again and again! Nice car.

I do not agree that S Class leaves the LS in the shadows. I have had the privilege of driving both cars for a considerable length of time and I must say it's a tough choice to pick one over the other.

In terms of performance, they both have it. Luxury, they both have it. Brand clout, you bet they both have it. It's all down to personal preference as they both carry about the same price tag. It's more like Coke vs Pepsi.
