If we are dreaming of winning the WC next year or this year, the opponents we face should not matter. We play our game one at a time regardless of who we face.

Therefore, we need the right players to fulfill our task and to pick the best and right players fit for the task, sentiments must be eliminated to the bearest minimum.

This is how I will pick my 23 players.

Gk

Vincent Enyeama
Dele Aiyenugba
Dele Ajiboye

DF

Troost Ekong
Leon Balogun
Chidozie Awaziem
Brian Idowu
Tyrone Ebuehi
Elderson Echiejile
Shehu Abdullahi/ Ola Aina

MF

Mikel Obi
Ogenyi Onazi
Joel Obi
Wilfred Ndidi
Sone Aluko
Victor Moses
Alex Iwobi
Simon Moses
Ahmed Musa
Raheem Lawal/ Abdul Ajagun/ Onomah

ST

Kelechi Iheanacho
Odion Ighalo
Obafemi Martins

With calibers of players I can switch from 4-2-3-1 to 3-5-1 or 4-4-2 to 4-3-3

My first choice players for 3-5-1

.................................Enyeama (hopefully)

An important element of our style of play in recent times is the speed of our transitions/counters. Moses is an important part of that. Putting him as a wing back could affect his ability to support quick counters. Wing backs often play as right backs when defending.
Then we have consider the advantages and disadvantages. I have pointed out to some of the advantages of playing him as a wing back and if this is only disadvantage, then I think the advantage outweighs the disadvantage.

Lets take a look at Moses's goal against Cameroon in Uyo where he took the ball from defense to score. Do you think that is possible for him against better defenses in the world cup?

If the coach really want to make the most out of Moses in the 3-5-2 formation, the wing back role should be where Moses should play. The understanding and combination of Mikel, Iwobi and Iheanacho is lethal to any defense.

A Nigerian has gone on to that Croatian site registered and the first thing he does was to rain courses on them,, and the person is probably from this group.. We should learn to be civil and not portray an image that will always bring hate to this country. It's so uncalled for.

Rohr wants unpredictability in his strikers upfront. The game against Argentina was the first time we'd play without a true 9. Opposition might understudy Ighalo but might meet the shock of their lives when they see KC and Iwobi or VicMo and Moses Simon.
If things goes to plan I think Nigeria would be one of the teams to beat at the WC. Depending on some games we won't play a natural 9 especially against Croatia.
you blew my mind bro....

just pray we improve our defense and goal keeping department as well.

I remember how we were all scared that Perotti will traumatize Ezenwa with his lethal shots....

Eventually, Perotti couldn't do jack.

World Cup is six months away, a lot could happen between then and now, so anybody scoring hat tricks today, e no mean anything

Victor Moses is too talented for Nigeria to be playing wing back... It's just like hazard playing wing back for Belgium

I think all this Martins talk and ogbeche should be given a permanent rest, We should be looking for players who can upstage the starting 11 not join the coaching crew,
So many players always pick form during a world cup year for obvious reasons but Rohr should stick to the core players that understand his philosophy and make only lil necessary tweaks

My 23 list is

Uzoho
Ezenwa
Alampasu
............
Shehu
Ebuehi
Balogun
Ekong
Omeruo
Awaziem
O.Aina
Idowu/Echejile still not sure
........................
Onazi
Ndidi
Mikel
Ogu
Etebo
.......................
V.moses
S.moses
Iwobi
Iheanacho
Ighalo
Musa
Henry

Between J.Obi, Musa and Henry.i would drop one person.
If V.moses becomes a wing back then, Henry is very important.
I still think Musa should be given a FW role albeit as a sub, dude has not given a good cross all thru his career but the only time he plays well is when he finds the net, he needs that remodelling to flourish
Standby
Akpeyi
Agbo/
J.Obi
Kayode /I success( if he starts using his other 2 legs)

What is your point. Rufai and Aghahowa are retired and are not posting any eye-catching performance. Should we drop our best prospect because he's not been part of the fold? What makes him different from Martins?
Ogbeche your best prospect? Like I have stated before Martins is a great striker I respect so much! If anything he's the ONLY player worth looking at if Rohr decides to call new players! But the way you guys sounding here makes me wonder who and who qualified us for the world cup? Yes! Since you want Ogbeche me think we also want Rufai and Aghahowa and all our football accestors too!
