The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will Monday perform the handing over ceremony by the outgoing leadership led by the Chairman of the National Caretaker Committee, Senator Ahmed Makarfi.

The ceremony, which is expected to take place at the party’s National Secretariat at Wadatta House in Abuja, will mark the formal takeover of offices by other elected members of the national executive of the party.


To add colour to the event, the Publicity Department of the PDP said that the new chairman, Uche Secondus, will be received at the entrance of the national secretariat along with other newly elected officers and party leaders.

Secondus emerged victorious at last Saturday’s national convention after polling 2,000 votes to beat his closest rival and former Minister of Education, Prof. Tunde Adeniran, who got 230 votes.
