bigbroda:
Guyz, I got Nova Scotia province nomination on tuesday and relaxing in the pool with a CRS of 900+expecting ITA next week wednesday by God's grace.

I have the following post ITA questions to ask:
1. Where should each/all documents be addressed to. Documents like PoF, employer reference letter, etc.
2. Has anyone successfully paid the application fee with a naira mastercard before especially someone with a family size of 4(considering the amount)
3. The issue of passport photograph, will I be required to upload for every member of the family(including toddlers) or just that of my spouse and I? Also, do I need to resnap another passport at PPR stage after snapping now for submission? Considering the fact that dates and some other info. have to be written at the back of the passports. If PPR comes like 4-6 months, hope the passport won't be too old since they usually say recent passport. How many copies of passports are required?
4. If a substantial amount of money(say 2M) is transferred from spouse's account to PA's account, is there any need to explain it or do gift deed especially when the narrative is something like "spouse immigration support"
5. What item(s) do I need to take to Alagbon, Lagos to obtain police clearance? Will I get it that same day? Who is required to do clearance? Only the PA or with spouse and children?
6. What items to I need to take along for medicals? What will be issued after the medicals at the hospital? Can we(including kids) eat before going for it as it's not advised if sugar level has to be checked?
7. What options do I have in terms of hospitals? The names and locations.
8. Can someone please describe how to drive down to Alagbon and the hospitals?

So sorry for the numerous questions. Just trying to avoid stories that touch ni. lol

Wish everyone here success in this pursuit.

One luv!

Ah!!!Congratulations bigbroda....Did you make your application on saturday? If so, please how did you manage to log into Nova Scotia's site on Saturday. I am asking so I can prepare better for next opening.

Congrats once again

The score does not go down, it will rather remain as it is on remark. However, it has been advised here that its better you circle the four components as a change in one of the components will guarantee you a refund. All the best as you join the Patience Crew.

Wiseoldman:
I have a question, I want to ask for a remark of my IELTS. What is the probability of the band score going even lower after a remark. Or is there a general rule of the band score remaining the same or going higher.

Regards,
Ayo.

pls a quick question guys.

what does IELTS TEST FORM NUMBER mean?

can i get it from my online results? or i have to wait till i get the hard copy?

thanks
IELTS test form number is the number corporate bodies like CIC can use to verify your result. It is found towards the end of the result page and only on the hard copy. So you will have to wait for your hard copy result.

PPR came through yesterday guys...

EE Profile – September 2, 2016
CRS - 468
1st ITA – January 11
Withdrawn – April 11
2nd ITA – April 13
AOR – July 11
Med Passed – July 24
IP1 – July 24
NA2 – July 24
We do not need additional documents – Sep 8
IP2 – December 6
ADR – December 7 (Consent form from daughter’s mum)
ADR Submitted – December 8
PPR – December 14

My application was straight forward... Wife was PA, Wrote IELTS just once... spouse too, did another naija PCC (only PCC required) when submitting for 2nd ITA, POF was just a simple letter from co-operative society from my wife's company, I didn't need to do ECA. I added my daughter from another woman and I got an ADR for a consent letter which her mum did willingly without issues.

Everyone that got ITA alongside myself and even after have all gotten PPR and some have even landed... @vcole, @SlowelybtSurely @40malappy and so on...

The race is not for the Swift... Keep your goal in mind and do all it takes to achieve it. Cross all the Hurdles (Poor IELTS results, ECA delays, Rejections, etc) with your head up and chest out. Aim for the finish line... Stay Prayerful!

I wish everyone all the best! ... I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have.

Wow i didn't know your PPR is in the pipeline since . Congrats. Finally the wait it over .

Hello,

I am having issues with some money my gf sent to my account via WU to my account. My friend tore the document that WU gave her on the day of the transaction. How else can I prove that the money came from my friend in the USA?

Hello seniors in the house,

Just aced my IELTS LRWS 9,9,7.5,7.5. I have HND and PGD but M.Sc will only be ready in July of 2018

My question now is do i evaluate my PGD and HND as two different degrees or wait to complete my M.Sc next year before evaluation and joining the pool. I also like to know if professional certification like PMP counts/carries point and should be evaluated.

Thank you.

Congrats on your wonderful results.

I really think you should have started your degree evaluation by now considering the time it takes for the processing. Unless you are not in a hurry to enter the pool. Nevertheless, I think you can evaluate your HND and PGD (except it is a Unilag pre-degree diploma; heard it doesn't get favorable evaluation) and get 2 or more degrees equivalency. Confirm from others which body does such evaluation for similar qualifications. Mine was pretty straightforward, so can't really speak to it. I don't think there is any reason for you to wait for your MSc. The point difference is not so significant (I stand to be corrected though)

Good luck with whatever decision you take.

Please I'm asking on behalf of a friend. What do these credential evaluation bodies evaluate an MBBS as? "Bachelors degree", "two or more degrees..." or "professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession"?
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program-Connect Here Part 3 by emelueobi(f): 7:13pm On Dec 15, 2017
@einsteino - This formulation works, I just checked it out with my 28 Oct IELTS test report , but the TRF test date is plus 13days from the test date (and not 12). Still cool though, what happens if you use this formula and miss the test date by a day or 2 , and you get ITA. Just thinking

Caveat: This is solely for educational purposes.

Typically it takes about a week after the IELTS online result has been released to receive TRF of your IELTS. You may be in need of your TRF number before then, here is how you could formulate yours.

TRF number is 18 characters long, I would take a sample and explain how it is formed

lets look at this TRF Number 15NG005978BUHM050G

This is actually made up of joining 7 distinct groups: 15 + NG + 005978 + BUH + M + 050 + G

15 = last two digits of the year of your exam. all 2017 exam TRF would start with 17
NG = Country code, all exam taken in Nigeria would have NG while those taken in canada would be CA

i said 12days excluding exam date. well like i said earlier the TRF date varies occasionally, i have seen someone whose date was 14 days after exam. so there is no cast in stone rule for the TRF date. good news is you can edit TRF date post ITA.

Ah, it's not useful at all o. You need to rewrite IELTS and aim for 12,12,12,12

Can one request for a remark before receiving the TRF?
Who else noticed that the Ibadan center for January 6 has been taken out from the IELTS dates on BC site? I'd have preferred to sit for it before 20th o but the only options left now are Enugu and PH
No. I went to pick up d TRF and then applied for a remark. The TRF was withheld until d EOR is ready.

Hiya...so for someone that has stayed in the UK for 3years. Is it certain the person's file will be transferred to London visa office....

einsteino:

invest the money in Tbills or fixed deposit, that way it is inaccessible to you and you also make some extra money from it. there is no periodic procedures for POF, VO act at their discretion. if they feel like, they may send an ADR for updated POF, they also may not.

if you decide to use it, and cant replace it, na yawa. if you use a huge percentage of it and replace it as a lump sum especially after you had got ADR for Updated POF, it may look suspicious ie source of the money maybe questionable.

As for LVO, it would seem having travel history to certain countries and visa refusals from certain countries, makes one land in LVO. no one can say for sure.

Thanks @Newmum0615 for your answers. The PGD is not Unilag pre-degree, so i will commence its evaluation. However do you per chance have an idea whether evaluating a PMP certification has any positive points towards this programme.

My dawg

Kontagious:

Congratulations on your nomination.

1.) You can use address below for all documents;
Central Intake Office (CIO)
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
Sydney, Nova Scotia
Canada.

2.) A bank was recently mentioned to have increased monthly limit to USD5,000. Not sure of the bank at the moment but i'd be guessing total App fee + RPRF for family of 4 should come to CAD2,480 (depending on age of the children). A Naira card aside that of the mentioned bank might not go through if you'd be paying App fee and RPRF at once.

3.) All members of family is to upload passport, some allowance in body posture is given to toddlers though but not too far off the accepted standard. A professional photographer will know how to handle your toddlers. Six months is the time-frame given for passport photographs, so, you may explore option of using same passport for e-Apr and on PPR. If you intend doing this, tell the photographer you want the PPR dimension (50mm * 70mm), s/he knows other specifications to follow. You can try any Studio 24 outlet. You should tell them to stamp and sign at least one each of you all. Soft copy of the passport is not necessary since you'd still be scanning other documents, you can scan the hardcopy passport just as well, but if you feel you want the soft copy, please collect it. Might still come in handy for some other stuffs.

2 copies of passport is required, one to have name of photo studio, date taken and subject's name at the back while the other should be left blank. Applies to everybody in your application

4.) A gift deed is not necessary when spouse transfers. A letter authorizing the use for immigration purpose will suffice. Frankly, I'd say N2m out of what is needed for family of 4 should not necessitate that authorization letter but for peace of mind, you can include it. Gift deed is however not needed.

5.) Who should do PCC: PA, Spouse and children above 18. Take along passport photograph (2 to be safe), copies of your international passport biopage, and of course money grin. Average of 4k per person if you go through Inspector Moshood. You'd get all the PCCs in about 30-45mins, shouldn't exceed 1 hour.

6.) Take same thing for PCC but your original international passport at hand. You'd be given a sheet which is what you'd upload in placeholder for medicals. You should as a fact eat before leaving home, you don't know when you'd be attended to.

7.) Just three hospitals in Lagos, prices defers though;
A. Q-Life Family Clinic,
Plot 155a Prince Ade Odedina Street,
off Sinari Daranijo, Victoria Island Annexe.

B. IOM Migration Health Assessment Centre
No. 1 Isaac John Street,,
GRA Ikeja.

C. The Childrens Practice and the Consultants Practice,
25 Raymond Njoku Street,
Ikoyi,

8.) Hospital, depends on your choice and where you coming from but Alagbon is just after Passport Office (NIS) going from Obalende but before if coming through Kingsway Road.

Hope all questions are covered, and congratulations again on your nomination.

Hello house,
Congratulations to all the PPR and ITA recipients !! Please our profile has been like this since 2nd week in September oh. Is this IP1 and we haven't been assigned any visa office? Secondly is there any point requesting gcms notes or any routes to know why we've been stuck here for 3 months?
Please I'll appreciate your contributions and experiences.

PGD here is post HND. You always bring in pre degree diploma which is OND, NCE etc.. Let him use to tool to know his CRS score and consider the current ITA thresholds. It is that simple nao.
