Oga there is nothing to flaw or argue with freeze. If you are looking for men's wisdom or philosophy to back up your Christianity, then you really don't understand what Christianity is about. Apostle Paul wrote and said "for we came not to you with enticing words of man's wisdom......". Christianity is based on faith and obedience to God. Paying of tithes and giving offerings alone will not make you rich. I pay tithes and give offerings, but I am not under any illusion that they are the ONLY keys to prosperity. You cannot prosper without producing something or rendering a service. It is what you do that God would bless to make you prosper the more. I pay tithes because God commanded it in Malachi 3. Even if there is no prosperity in it for me, I will still pay tithes as long as God commanded us to do so in his word.

Remember it was also Jesus who said "give and it shall be given unto you, good measure pressed down shaken together and overflowing shall men give back unto you...." If Jesus believes that we can be rewarded with more prosperity when we give, then who am I to say it's not true??

Nigerians like short cut to making money that is why they believe in tithing and also they believe that stolen wealth will get cleaned supernaturally after tithing.

The issue with most people who fight tithing is not that they think Pastors should only preach tithing to believers, but that pastors shouldn't even preach it at all. the gospel of Christ is very balanced, so any pastor that only tells you one part and doesn't tell you the other part is not helping you and they are only deceiving you and they will answer to God for that. A pastor that preaches only holiness but doesn't preach financial principles for prosperity in God's kingdom is not a pastor that is helping you. Also, a pastor that preaches only financial principles for prosperity in God's kingdom without preaching holiness to you is a pastor that is deceiving you and may lead you to hell if you are not careful. Jesus wants us to be rich as much as He wants us to be holy. The reason God wants us rich is so we can have money to give to His church and to use in helping other people around us in the society where we live, and the most basic about giving to church for God's work is tithes and offerings.

Pastors should not preach tithing to unbelievers because it makes no sense. Why give to God when you are not even saved and will still end up in hell for not accepting Christ? But for Christians, tithing should be preached alongside other vital doctrines of the kingdom of God like holiness and divine healing, etc.
