To be frank the lady knew he wasn't trying to kidnap her. She is simply being manipulative.

you can't say for sure that she knew... it was late and the place looked dark. Its only natural for someone (a lady) to think the worst in this situation and rape and kidnap was on her mind

But for her to go on social media to tarnish not just the guy's image but the company's. It's stupid and whatever come back she got was of her own making

Pls let's allow proper investigation to be conducted cos many thing are not adding up
Can a rapist call another taxify to come pick up a rape victim in 2mins yet driving the rape victim into a compound after disclosing an address

I think she just panicked but going to social media was very wrong cos this guy if not guilty would have a huge dent from the society the best she should have done was report the case to ratify and if the guy is found guilty then post on social media for people to weary of the guy

He's already taken his position. A very prejudiced one. But there are two spinning sides to a coin. The trajectory is what determines what's on both sides while the coin spins.

I'm judging based on wat u commented!!

the girl felt he wanted to kidnap her(u got dat frm her own part of the story)

the guy felt something fishy about her (u also got dat from his own part of the story)

and don't forget u called it a misunderstanding which I strongly disagree, one of Dem is guilty.

Guilty of what exactly?
The guy - attempted rape and kidnap...

The girl
Mind you I'm not supporting either of them

Sure in a particular situation this may be the case but if you look at it,

1. Right from the start of the video, the lady was super calm even though the guy was taking her someplace against her will. This clearly indicates that she was not afraid of him. This is one of the most important clues.

2. Again, when the guy got to the house and got down, she did not attempt to flee at all. This is the second important clue that reinforces the fact that she was not afraid of him.

3. She then seized his car keys, inviting a physical struggle, which is the third clue that she was not afraid of him. For her to have been in the state of fear, she would have had to have believed her assailant was physically capable of harming her, and if she believed her assailant to be physically capable of harming her, then she would not have done anything such as grabbing his keys, to provoke a physical confrontation which would precipitate the harm she sought to avoid, unless that was her absolute last resort, but that clearly was not her last resort. She could simply have gotten down from the car when he parked. So again she was not afraid of him.

4. She was recording the whole thing on video and the guy would have been aware. For him to continue driving and ignoring her basically, despite her recording, it means he was not afraid that the video would incriminate him.

5. The video is cut and edited. When the video starts, the lady is saying "see Uche (or some other name) your driver is still driving me someplace o, i don't know where he is going". The highlighted word implies that she had been recording for some time. Why did she not show us that part? Could it be that was the part that contained the verbal exchanges between her and the driver which they both confirm took place but differ as to how it took place? This part of the video is what would really explain things but it has been cut out. Why?

Conclusion: The lady was not afraid of the driver, which means he probably never conducted himself in such a manner as to be threatening towards her. She has also edited the video evidence to portray only the parts that are consistent with her story, but even at that, the video evidence does not confirm what she alleges.

It's funny people throw the word sexually harassed around and expect us to swallow it hook line and sinker just because the accuser is a celebrity.
The truth is that that video wasn't convincing enough, there were lots of sketchy details and no conclusive evidence. Two people tussling can be for anything, what is the proof that the perpetrator was trying to abduct or rape the actress. The only fool I see here is Adekunle Gold who was not present at the said event but somehow thinks he's figured it out more than anyone else.
In as much as I think it's extreme to insult the actress but I'm not really buying the whole boondoggle till enough evidence is shown.

You have said it all my brother!!!

Mr Adekunle.

Rape case and accusation isn't something you expect fans and fellows to jump into conclusion, it might be true or might not be, you don't just conclude that she was raped simply because she's close to you or so.

We have a lot of rapists in our society and aswell we have a lot of ladies who hides under the shield of the word "Rape" just to get back at men, reacting like a chemical on twitter won't make Nigerians develop an immediate believe that she was raped, neither will it help bring justice to the lady if she was raped.

With the help of a proper investigation, I pray that justice should be brought between the accuser and the accused.

I have not yet watched the video or read the guy's side of the story.

But there one thing I know for sure :

There has never been a rape case where the victim that was raped videoed her own raping. Or that the lady that was about to be raped videoed the beginning of the attempt to rape her.

If it was real rape attempt she would be on her heels running as fast as her legs could carry her, not with a phone in her hand recording.

Do you know what rape is. A rapist has to be violent with his rape victim in order to succeed, especially when he's a total stranger. A rapist would must probably land his victim some heavy punches in order to weaken her, throw her to the ground and rip of her clothes. Or she may be threatened with a gun or knife to pull of her clothes. So which hand would she be recording the scene with when she'll be busy fighting for her life.

The lady is a damn liar. She was just trying to get the guy into some serious trouble and payback for whatever transpired between the them.

Okay, have not really been following this scandal from the get go.

so basically this woman is accusing someone of rape and she had the time to record! That alone had invalidated her claim! You should be struggling to wriggle from from the rapist and not shooting video! Did she want to release sextape ni?
If the guy truly wanted to rape you will he be watching you record him and not do anything? Oga o

Spot on! I thought Exactly the same thing!! This was all just a normal misunderstanding between a customer and the driver but the Lady decided to blow it up to something clearly out of proportion. And i also noticed she's an egotistic lady too and that could play a part in why she blew the story out of proportion. In the end, Nice observation.

Definitely one if not both will tell the story to favour him or her the most.
Either way there was a misunderstanding at the scene of the incident.

Maybe he wanted to rape her maybe not and
Maybe her actions were suspicious maybe not
