Interestingly enough, one of those reasons is religious believers themselves. We live in a world dominated by people who often fervently believe ancient superstitions and who many times demonize, harass, ostracize, and disown those who lack belief in those ancient superstitions. Atheists on the receiving end of this treatment are understandably stressed and isolated. They often experience anxiety and depression as a result.

Paganism is merely religious belief that strays from the orthodoxy of the Abrahamic religions. It's not synonymous with atheism.

You might be an irreligious person. Probably deist. Or agnostic. But it doesn't mean you're atheist. And you mustn't "identify" with anything. That makes it sound like you're searching for a new religion. Just explore things for yourself, and be open-minded and discerning, and follow your intuition. Do whatever gives you inner peace.

The standard here is objectivity. Cons lacks objectivity. Just read the wiki section on Christianity, to see what I mean by objectivity. Though wiki might be owned by an atheist, he does not get to use wiki to shove his atheism down ones throat. Can't say the same about the section on Christianity on cons, and their section on atheism is pure Christian fundamentalist propaganda.

But, as you have and I have not resolved our issues with subjectivity and objectivity, I doubt you'd agree.

You need to read the review about how biased Wikipedia is when it comes to anything creationism and then you would know that even it is not a respected source.

It's not that "amazing" really. I come from a Catholic family where my parents, despite all their education, sought to stop my 2 of my sisters from marrying their chosen partners, just because the men were Anglicans. It didn't matter that the guys were educated, accomplished professionals. Or that both dated my sisters throughout university. Or that they both came from our home state, Anambra, and infact one of the guys was from our LGA in Anambra. They were deemed not good enough simply because they were Anglican, despite the fact Anglicans, as an old Orthodox church have more in common with Catholics than most denominations do.
You can imagine how people who live with such bigotry like my parents would react if they learnt their son is an atheist which might as well be the same thing to them as my saying I'm a blood-sucking cultist that dines with demons.

Nigerian Christians are the most "lily-livered" people on the planet. That's why they spend all their time casting and binding and photocopying and laminating their invisible enemies everywhere.

The funny thing is that scientists are devoting so much resources to study something as small as photons and it is amazing and baffling to them how they behave when "being watched" and it makes me wonder if light itself is a product of chance or there is intelligence woven into its very fabric.
