If not for the useless CBN governor we have, why will Nigerians be allowed to send out money via paypal and not receive? Hundreds of thousands of Nigerian online entrepreneurs can't bring their earnings home because our useless financial regulators don't care. Yet, they want Nigeria to progress.

Op your info is nice o. But I can tell you that this method will not prevent you from escaping paypal limitation, which is just one of the ways they steal our hard earned money.

Cheers.

Until you have made some money and PayPal temporarily suspends your account, asking for some documents like proof of address and then discover that you're running it from Nigeria. Your funds get held for180 days before your being released and your account terminated.

Did you guys finish reading the write-up?
The OP never mentioned any bypass. In fact, he said he uploaded his Nigerian international passport and his country was set to Nigeria.
The only unique thing I noticed was that he set up a business account instead of individual account.

Abi is there any bypass there?

PayPal Official be like ...

Lazyreporta:
It’s no news that Nigerian PayPal do not receive fund but can only send, this makes it difficult for it to be used for online business aside for buying and paying for goods and services.
I have thought about this a lot and I did a top research on it and discovered a way out and this is the use of Lesotho PayPal which has the full PayPal feature, which means that it can send and receive fund as well as do other things a foreign PayPal does.
So let me go straight to the point.

Go to https://www.paypal.com/ls/webapps/mpp/merchant, or copy and paste this link in your browser. When you do that this is what the page you will see will look like below.

Good. If everyone is using that, PayPal might just blocked it. For now I use UAE PayPal to receive and send.

Been using my Nigeria PayPal for years now. I make payment with it almost everyday. But there’s no way you can receive funds if it’s a nigeria account. I’ve tried every means available. And yes my account is a business account. Let the op show me the money he has received with his PayPal account before I’ll believe him.

A word is enough for the wise. PayPal will always ask you for verification documents once your account starts receiving huge amounts of money. PayPal also does not want Nigerians LIVING IN NIGERIA to be able to receive funds with their accounts. Until they change their policy, transact at your own risk.

You can operate a US PayPal account here in Nigeria using a strong VPN. And u will be able to send and receive payment with it without any issue.
I have several of such account created by me.

It may interest readers in Nigeria to learn that PayPal will instantly BLOCK any and all accounts that indicate transactions going into, or out of Nigeria.

Yes sir indeed, I can attest with absolute certainty that Nigeria has been BLACKLISTED by PayPal ever since that platform was created.

Anyone who doubts for an instant the facts I have stated here is free to test the truth of my report here by simply attempting to use PayPal whilst inside Nigeria. Regardless of how long your PayPal account has been open, the instant that account is used for ANY transaction traceable to Nigeria, that PayPal account WILL be closed right away, and the OWNER of the account will also be blacklisted, so that they can NEVER open another PayPal account ANYWHERE on this planet.

I would encourage anyone living in the USA or Europe, and who runs a PayPal account, to call my bluff and so much as TRY to use their account whilst in Nigeria. When your account is closed for LIFE, you can write back here and tell us all how truly sorry you are for making such a terrible mistake as to use PayPal in Nigeria.

Don't say you were not warned.

Oga you are wrong. I have a Nigerian Paypal account and a UK Paypal account. The Nigerian Paypal account was opened in Nigeria and I make purchases with it with no problems. The UK Paypal account was opened while I was doing my Masters program in the UK and I still access the account here in Nigeria without using a VPN and it works perfectly.

grin grin grin the day you will order something with that account, just be ready to enter lesotho for pick up.

This reminds me of what I did years back before paypal accepted Nigeria for sending money. I was using Benin republic paypal which they later got to know but because of my I'd and the level of business I have used it to do, they decided to allow me but luck ran out of me when my card expired and gtbank messed things up for me. Before I could realize the issue with my paypal account was coming from gtbank and not paypal, paypal locked my account and reminded me my account was opened in Nigeria and have been operated in Nigeria , in fact they narrowed down their details but as a professional I had to tell them that I reside at the border between Nigeria and Benin therefore the ip address fluctuates but mainly to Nigeria address. They couldn't stop laughing, it was as if they tag my account with something that each time I call them despite the countries paypal, they would start laughing even before I could say a thing. Finally I was told that they can't unblock my account and they only promise to inform me when they have Nigeria paypal which they did as they permanently closed the previous account. So if anyone is trying this lesotho, make sure your spending is more than your receiving or you receive and spend otherwise your account would be in a mess.

Please I will need your advice on this. I have been trying to open a PayPal account since last week later I got a message that I should provide proof of evidence of my address and also give my card statement. So I did that two days ago but for the address I was told I need to provide a utility bill which I did but they complained that my name doesn't appear on the utility bill so I explained to them that it's a rented apartment and won't have my name but the name of the property owner. I don't have any national document to send that showcased my address but till now my account is still limited. So I m thinking of what other option to take. I am thinking of closing the account to open a new one but my concern is the old account is already link to my debit card so I felt that should I open a new account can I still link the same card to the new PayPal
Thanks
