What is your stream? FSW-O, FSW-I or CEC? You are in IP1 if your stream is either FSW-I or CEC.

For IP1, your background status's message in this stage will be :“Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.”.

For IP2, your background status’s message will be “We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information”.

Well, I believe the processing time for each applicant is not dependent on stream/visa office.

For example, someone on Canadavisa forum received "How to get a job in Canada" letter on Monday. The belief is that the person's visa office will be London Visa Office. However, on Tuesday (yesterday), the person received his golden mail. The summary is that each applicant's application is unique.
