Confused Town.
Confused Oba.
Confused People.

Just imagine this idiot trying to force the whole Iwo town to be Muslims.

Amazing to think that it does not occur to him that the typical Yoruba man who lives in the domain of an Emir in the North will not address an Emir in the North as Kabiesi. Poor sense of history and manifestation of illiteracy. Yoruba folklore is lost on him otherwise he’ll recall how tortoise had the mass of the elephant trapped in a deep pit just by singing his praise upon which he dance-stepped his way on to a spread of moccasin rug laid on the deep pit and concealing it! The rest is history to the wise!!

For your info I am Igbo
all he is saying is that if you want to have an emir in Yoruba land fine! but it should separated from the seat of Oba,..the Yoruba tradition have nothing in common with Islam..

More Fulanis will come in to help groom the Oba-turned-Emir and school him better how an Emir does

Next, they will offer him fulani wife/wives. This wife or wives will birth son(s) some of whom may be fathered by whoever

The Fulani Offspring will eventually become the subsequent Emir/Oba of the town with more influx of Fulanis

B4 u know it, Fulani ti take over finally

Hehehehe.

We have warned the yoruba Christians but they will tell you that there is nothing like yoruba muslims. Very soon an Emir from the north will come and rule them just the same way Kwara is being controlled by the fulanis.

Next on the list is ibadan.

How are they moving the seat of the caliphate from sokoto? More like they have sold the yoruba tradition to the caliphate because as an Oba, he is not a Muslim or Christian rather he is seen as a traditional ruler

The Oba will just end up dividing the yurobas along religious line... This is the last thing that would happen both in the east and north.. imagine Obi Onisha saying he should be address as Emir of Onisha or Emir Sunusi of Kano saying he should be address as Oba of kano. Mhen this is inferiority complex in high voltage.

After becoming an Emir, what would happen to the Oba tittle!!! Walahi this is a game plan for a bigger picture. I feel for the stakeholders of yuroba land.

You are very intelligent
I have always said Osun is drifting away gradually
Some Islamic elements want to start what thfy don’t know where it will end
Majority of Yorubas are still Christains

Ask me,how Fulani will not take advantage of this foolish people, this is how it was happened in Ilorin and up till today the mistake has not yet been corrected.

As for the king himself, when a small boy attain a position where he doesn't expect himself to be,how do you expect him to behave.Yoruba adages says'Omo ai je obe ri to japo saya.

Look, Iwo is an inconsequential town.

If Yorubaland could move on after the Ilorin debacle, Iwo is nothing.

So you don't mind loosing all your towns(no matter how inconsequential) to the caliphate?

What are you saying

Has the Oba become a Fulani man just because he attempted to use the emir title?

Does the Oba have any political power in his domain?

When he exits the throne, will his successor follow his footsteps?

Can't you guys be less emotional and more realistic for once

The Oba is not vacating his throne for a Fulani man from wherever to come and be emir. He is still a Yoruba man albeit a looonatic.

His successor will not follow his footsteps.

This is exactly what will happen.

The oba will marry a Fulani wife, his son will be half yoruba half Fulani, then the son will end up marrying another Fulani woman making the Fulani gene more superior from there the Yoruba gene will be cleansed while a true Fulani will mount the seat of iwo.

It seems that you don't know how the fulanis operate.

Very soon, the oba /emir of iwo will marry a Fulani claiming to strengthen the bond between them and their northern masters.

From there, his own son will marry another Fulani, thereby suppressing the Yoruba gene and boosting that of the Fulani till the Yoruba gene is totally cleansed and that of the Fulani become dominant.

This will take several years but it will eventually happen but as usual, yorubas will not listen.

Stop taking panadol for another man's headache.

This is a no issue. Traditional rulers are figureheads.

The emir of Ilorin is not as powerful as Saraki or the governor. And already been Yorubanised.

Since the traditional rulers are just figure heads, why are the decendants of Afonja looking for ways to recover the throne from the fulanis?
