when you find a mountain on your way to greatness, never turn back. Keep hammering away at it, never retreat, and you'll get through it. Champions get through challenges. ChiomaMee, I want to remind you (and others here) that you have the divine native attitude (DNA) for success. Quit complaining or saying it's not easy. You're a fighter, go & make history, break records. Change your lifestyle, increase your discipline, be open to learn, make the changes you need to make —remember you can't eat your cake and have it. If it's not easy, it could mean you like an easy life. So step up to the challenge and make your Jesus, yourself and your family proud. Be fired, why? Because you can do it. Wake the giant in you
this has really motivated me!
rekindling the success flame in me!

Please let's eschew the use of words like "very frustrating, boring, etc." Whatever that happens has a positive value attached to it, you can only gain access to it if you're optimistic & have the mind of a disciple—one that seeks learning. I want to challenge everyone here to take up a 2/3 month challenge of zero complaints, negative words/confessions etc. Only positive, inspiring words should be used. You'd be amazed at the transformation your life would witness. Your time starts now

How will this change the fact that
maths 121 and zoo116 lecturers just read PowerPoints to us?

Being optimistic is not the surest way to pass.
Confess it's tiring and boring if it is and find a way to tackle it abeg.

I am a direct entry student and I have to be frank with you. Don't expect anybody to give you fish —that's what they do in secondary schools. This is a university, you need to take responsibility for your mental, spiritual, Social, health, academic etc education. Doing the same thing but expecting a different result, not what you should be doing now. They'll continually read those texts, but you, what can you do about it? Not complain or say negative things. You quietly go about finding a solution, meet those who know better amongst your friends, study harder & believe & pray hardest. It's time to grow up. This place separates the men from the boys, I hope you'll understand that sooner. Be committed to finding solutions even when things don't quite work out the way you want. Man up to the challenge, lady up to the challenge. Don't back down, because that's one of the factors that gives you a sound & consistent CGPA through different levels. Go and be great!

This gown is one of the most difficult achievements in Nigeria. I chased this gown for three good years ( passed my exams those years, gained one admission then but refused. Because I wanted to be nothing but a Uite) even this time I have the opportunity to get the gown, About 60,000 candidates ( excluding D. E candidates) picked UI as first choice , 20,949 sat for the Post UTME, 9,266 of us scored 50 and above (which represents about 44.2 percent) in the examination".....
Out of those that PASSED, Only about 3500 ( including DE) Will wear this gown. Like I said then, *whether dead or alive, I'm getting this gown.* I got it, we'll be live tomorrow.
I seize this opportunity to congratulate my friends here on their matriculation to the University of Ibadan, the premier, most surmount and the best university in Nigeria. I pray we have a healthy, fun filled, successful and most importantly, achievement decorated stay in the University.
I'm Nltaliban , remember to take pictures tomorrow, see you all at the top!!!!!!

I saw in HiLearners blog that the probability of Ui conducting their PostUtme earlier(around July--August) this year is very high(as against last year's which was conducted around October).

So being a slow reader,I got thrilled by the news.I bought Understanding chemistry and I have been reading it for a month now without being able to finish it.Though I understood 80% of all that I have read.
Also I bought Idodo Umeh biology but the textbook is damn big!

I read from morning till night but at the end of the day I feel as though I have not covered much. The next day,I brace up and study even harder......still the same experience(especially with chemistry and physics)....but if I read other books like novels,I could finish it at most within two days and understand everything no matter how voluminous it is.

Bosses here I need your help.Even on the fact that I am going for a very competitive course,I want to inculcate and internalise in me,....THE HABIT OF SWIFT AND EFFECTIVE STUDIES....

Let us take it that the examination is coming up in August...,how do I finish and at the same time absorb everything I need to pass this PostUtme using these textbooks within this short time interval...
BIOLOGY:Explicit,Modern and Idodo Ume.
CHEMISTRY:Understanding,Lamlad,New school
PHYSICS:lamlad,Principles of physics,A-level physics and New school physics.

English is not much of my problems as I can finish it within a week.
