Just to make common sense.

Oil price recovery from 27 dollars, to 45 dollars, to 65 dollars, now at 78 dollars per a barrel, it is a good news to the Nigeria economy.

But good and bad news to foreign investors.
Good news, as they have pump the stock price to above 100% with announcement of Nigeria coming out from recession, they will sell now and convert the money to dollars, to invest elsewhere, or to come back later.

Bad news; If they fail to sell now, they will be at losing side, because very soon, with rising of crude oil price, more dollars will troop inside the country from sales of crude, the price of dollars both in primary and secondly market will reduce drastically. Dollar will not be scarce again. Naira will be strengthen.

For instance, if dollar to naira is 1 dollar to 380 naira, if the price reduces to 1 dollar to 190 naira, that means the value of dollar for that foreign investors who wishes to sell his stake in Nigeria equity market to convert it to dollars has reduces by half.

One should not be surprise these days to see more offer building up, even when one assumed that price has bottomed out.

Foreign investors are cashing out, they are smart, but we need to also follow them with smartness by preserving our cash, because very soon, the price of naira will appreciate greatly. Economy will be stabilize again and then they will come in again. Stock market this days is just like game, it make one paper billionaire today, tomorrow it will still step him/ her back to millionaire, if not more lower than before.
Dividend and bonus use to be onions for ones investment, but today mode of trading has turn stock market more of gambling field.

Not really. All that money is going into petroleum subsidy. NNPC is now telling us that consumption has increased to close to 60m litres.

Also expect bunkering to be on the increase.

Stability in crude oil price and exchange rate is what is GOOD for the economy.

AVOID HERD MENTALITY. HAVE THE COURAGE TO THINK DIFFERENTLY. The present widespread sell-off mentality will be counterproductive. This is what the GAME-MASTERS want you to do. At a time you think not, BULL will hit this market. Late arrival is part of the GAME. Economic fundamentals indicate this is the time to be in the market not out.

I don't agree with the parts in bold. If the naira strengthens against the dollar, ie if the dollars weakens, it would be of greater advantage to the foriegn investor as it means more dollars profit and value for their investments in the country.
Example: if they have a unit of seplat at 720, that is $2 when converted at an exchange rate of 360 to a dollar.
Assuming the dollar weakens against the naira and 1dollar becomes 180naira, it then means that they have made more money by investing in the naira since that seplat at 720 which was $2 now becomes $4 at the new exchange rate.

Your inference is wrong sir. If exchange rate drops from 360 to 190, they have made a killing (on commodities already within the country) without putting in any effort.

Remember what happened last, investors were selling stocks and leaving the country when exchange rate was pegged at N155 only to return back when it could at N400!

MSCI MOVEMENT IN PORTFLIO FOR 24 MAY 2018/GENERAL MARKET COMMENT

The lack of volume in the recent market have shown the strength of the “big money”. If for a fund like MSCI failing to add more to its portfolio, the market has fallen to this level, I wonder what will happen if the fund decide to continue with the Nigeria fund?

It is good that we are not expecting a crash in the market, what is still happening is a correction. Therefore, this give us the opportunity to prepare for worst scenarios in the future.

Today still likely to be a down day, there is lack of volume in the market (money flowing into market is still declining). The buyers are still on the drawing board as regard how to handle this market!!!

Using the fund’s portfolio as a guide, “green” mean buying while “red” is selling.

You may no see or understand what am seeing and saying for now but later you will. But fact still remain that foreign investors are taking their gain. Converting 100 billion in dollar now, at current primary and secondly market will be more valuable when converting back to naira later to buy again when naira strengthen, and it will buy more units of share later when naira strengthen to #190 per a dollar.

( I.e 100 x 360 = 36000) ( 100 x 190 = 19000) https:///dollar-to-naira-exchange-rate-today-black-market/
still leave the money in naira Zenith at 25, how many units will each buy?

We are saying the same thing.
At #155 , economy was stabilize then, they reduce and look elsewhere, but at # 400, when exchanging dollar to naira the will buy more, remember that it was moving from #400, to #450, to #500 up to #600. They were still trooping in, but now the reverse is the case, from 600 to, 450, to 400, to #300+ and will still get to #200 +, with possibility of seen 100+, if crude oil continue improving.

If they did not take their gain with current dollar exchange to come back later, when will they take it.

To Nigerians, it a good thing, but to them bad.
