Its a pity. We should have gone past the level of struggling to keep the ball on the ground and string decent passes.

The most painful part is tbat we have players tbat can do that. Iwobi,Balogun,Ebuehi,Mikel, Moses,Ighalo,Simmy,Nacho,Ogu,Awaziem and Oghenekaro are all ball players....So, why are we not playing smooth sailing football?? Ask Robr

Morning Session: Eagles Play Practice Game Lasting 50 Minutes; Ighalo Nets Brace, Iwobi & Iheanacho Strike
Allnigeriasoccer.com can confirm that the Super Eagles Saturday morning training session was held behind closed doors at their training camp in Avita Resort, Bad Tatzmannsdorf.

The Nigeria Football Federation want the players and officials to be fully focused before their trip to Russia for the World Cup and did not allow fans to watch or the media to cover the session.

The players started this morning's training session, which began at 1000 hours, with the usual warm-up exercises before they rounded up the session by having a practice game between the Team A and Team B which lasted twenty-five minutes each half.

The training game ended 3-1, with Alex Iwobi and Odion Ighalo (2 goals) writing their names on the score-sheet for Team A and Iheanacho pulling a goal back for the Team B.

Two days before their trip to their base camp in Yessentuki, the Super Eagles will train again this evening, starting from 1700 hours.

Meanwhile, allnigeriasoccer.com can independently confirm that there is no rift between captain John Obi Mikel and his assistant Eddy Onazi, amid speculations in the media that they fell out following Nigeria's 2-1 loss to England last weekend.

I don't understand, it appears the team only play practice games after warm up and light exercises(atleast this is what is always reported). It have never been reported they do tactics training like 3 V 3,5 asides, real time game play simulations, set piece training, etc .
Could this be the reason the team looks poorly coached in their friendlies?

He was early capped by Austria just like Manuel Akanji of Switzerland.

I think there is need for NFF to broaden their knowledge about FB from age of 15 cos Tosin Kehinde is another talent that Nigeria must not missed.

First and foremost, he's a right Footer, secondly experimenting him as a LWB in competitive Games, especially at the World Cup, gonna yield a disastrous Result.

Ola Aina's World Cup Snub : Man City Trio Show Solidarity,Vow To Turn Down Nigeria If Approached

Ola Aina's World Cup Snub : Man City Trio Show Solidarity,Vow To Turn Down Nigeria If Approached
Versatile Chelsea fullback Ola Aina might have taken his omission from Nigeria's World Cup roster in the right way when he publicly wished the Super Eagles all the best at the 2018 World Cup.

However, there are repercussions over that move made by manager Gernot Rohr, with foreign-born talents of Nigerian descent based in England vowing to turn down the opportunity of playing for the Super Eagles if approached by the Nigerian Federation.

This website can exclusively report that the very talented Manchester City trio Tom Dele-Bashiru, Lukas Nmecha and Tosin Adarabioyo, who have all debuted for City's first team, are no longer interested in playing for Nigeria.

''Dele-Bashiru, Lukas Nmecha and Adarabioyo are the hottest young players in England at the moment,'' a top source close to the three players told allnigeriasoccer.com.

''They are unhappy over the way Ola Aina was treated by Gernot Rohr and the Nigerian Federation, and they don't want to play for Nigeria again as they could face the same fate.

''Apart from his debut against Argentina, Brian Idowu has not impressed in all the games he has played for the Super Eagles and Echiejile was not playing for his second division club in Belgium, Aina should have made the 23-man squad.''

Aina became cap-tied for Nigeria when he replaced Elderson Echiejile in the closing minutes of the Super Eagles 1-0 win over Zambia in Uyo last October.

The former England U19 skipper has made four appearances for the Super Eagles.

In a short video posted on the official Twitter handle of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alaba, Arnautovic and the Austrian stars were watching the Super Eagles train under the supervision of head coach Gernot Rohr.

“@NGSuperEagles had guests who came to see them train on Friday. It was the Austrian National team led by David Alaba, a Nigerian by blood. #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong,” reads the Tweet on the NFF Twitter handle.

Alaba, 25, also thanked Nigerian fans for their love and wished the Super Eagles

“I want to thank Nigerians for their love and support. I know there is a lot of love for me over there,” Alaba, who plays for German giants, Bayern Munich, said.

“I wish the Super Eagles only the best in Russia.”

The defender whose full name is David Olatokunbo Alabi was born in Vienna to Gina and George Alaba and has one sister who is named Rose.

His Visayan mother emigrated from the Philippines to work as a nurse. His Yoruba Nigerian father is a prince from Ogere, Ogun State. He is also a rapper and works as a DJ.

He holds the Austrian record as the youngest player to play for their senior national team, debuting for them in 2009 as a 17-year-old and has been capped 61 times with 12 goals to his name.

Aina's snub already yeilding bad fruit as Anglo Nigerian trio vow to turn down Nigeria if approached and their fear is that they might be treated like their colleague Aina.

Tom Dele Bashiru who once opted to rep Nigeria, lukas Nmecha, Tosin Adarabioyo and others are the ones listed for now who have vowed to turn down the NFF due to how poorly Aina was treated.

you are right bro. the mistake of the nff all these years is they tend to wait until these kids reach stardom which by then will be difficult for them to turn down a call from their country of birth. the nff should engage certain individuals with the responsibility to monitor kids of Nigerian parentage doing well in various European academies with the purpose of drafting them to our youth teams. i can remember vividly how a lot here were against the invite of ebuehi but today he is the darling of every nigerian football fan. one good thing with this euro born kids is they play with their real ages and tend to develop and blossom as the years goes unlike some of our locally breed players who regress easily. after the world cup i want the nff and rohr to still scout europe for kids of nigerian parentge who are willing to change allegiance to us. another big catch will be getting huddlesfield's philip anyanwu billing. i foresee him developing to a midfield dynamo in no distant time.

The three time African Champions who qualified for a sixth FIFA World Cup have in their ranks Mikel Obi of Tianjin TEDA, Alex Iwobi of Arsenal, Victor Moses of Chelsea and Wilfred Ndidi of Leicester but none was mentioned by the five time Ballon d’ Or winner.

This points to the fact that it was not the case of not playing to instructions but something to do with his negative football administration.

Keshi liked Uche Ike, invited him repeatedly, even carried him to the AFCON but the young man was not disciplined or ready to mend fences to move the Super Eagles forward. Keshi was no respecter of names but discipline and loyalty. He had the ability to take a Kid like Omeruo and make him one of the best African defenders at the AFCON. He could take an unknown entity like Oboabona and had him defending like a mountain. Keshi had the master plan to make Mikel Obi rise from the ashes to become the supernova of African football. Had Nigerians singing born on Sunday, scored on Sunday for an Mba who was invisible before the AFCON. Keshi had hundreds of Nigerians chanting Ameobi's name in the stadium while he pulled a man of the match performance against Italy. Something that made Pardew say Ameobi can become the King of Nigeria.

Keshi was that good to stoop low to eating the indiscipline and insolence of Ike Uche.

Finito.

ANS just wanna pull Traffic by selling Junks. How is Aina treated badly?! We have 5 FBs in the Team and one of them must be dropped.

Aina was capped as a LB. He was expected to man the Position but he failed. Idowu came in and showed he's ready.

Besides Idowu is half-Russian hence he's already acclimatized to the Weather and his Experience also gonna be needed for the Team's Preparations.

It's certain Echiejile is appearing for the last Time for the Eagles in a FIFA Competition, also I expect Rohr to move Shehu to the Middle after the World, thus Aina's Future in GWG is brighter than the Sun.

He's a professional, he definitely gonna understand Rohr's Decision, and I'm convinced he's gonna support the Team 100% at the Mundial.

The same Sport Site claimed there is Crisis in the Eagles' Camp only to be debunked by the alleged Culprits. I wouldn't mind us to stop posting any Updates from both ANS and OGN on this Thread, cos we are only helping them to promote their wack Journalism.

Alaba made it clear that it was due to Logistics reasons that was why he could not be part of the Tella U17 team. Handling the in and out travels of the foreigners would be too costly for the Limited U17 budget. That was why the focus is on home based players. Not that he was snubbed.
