that's a hall mark of a bad manager, you don't come out after losing and say to the media that one player didn't play to instruction.

you think all players have been playing to Rohr instructions??

Keshi wasn't losing when he said it. No general will go to battle with an insurbodinate soldier, no matter how good they are

Only two coaches in the in the history of Nigerian football have won both the nations cup and taken us to the second round of the world cup FACT (as forgiveness will say)

One took five years to achieve the feat, the other took 2. FACT

One had the support of the 2nd citizen of the land, the other achieved his feat despite limited support from his employers, sometimes without pay. FACT!

One did it with the best African players on Europe, the other did it with relatively unknown players (definitely not the best in Africa and not the best in Nigeria as you are quick to point out). FACT!

Which one of the two was the better coach? EOD

Please tell us why this coach should not be revered and give us the names of those who have achieved more for the national team with the same resources at their disposal? FACT

cc:forgiveness

so because di mateo won the champions league, he becomes a good coach??

let's respect keshi, his dead

Aina's snub already yeilding bad fruit as Anglo Nigerian trio vow to turn down Nigeria if approached and their fear is that they might be treated like their colleague Aina.

Tom Dele Bashiru who once opted to rep Nigeria, lukas Nmecha, Tosin Adarabioyo and others are the ones listed for now who have vowed to turn down the NFF due to how poorly Aina was treated.

It should also send a signal to them that once being invited is not an automatic shirt.

They should go and try their luck with the 3 Lions then.

Good luck to them.

I was never against the invitation of any FB including Iwobi and I can boldly tell you that 98% of monikers in this thread and the other thread BOLDLY AGAINST the idea of FB players who have not distinguished themselves in their clubs be given a call to the National team which I agured against.

That was where I started having arguments and disputes against majority of them here.

Ebuehi and Brian where players 98% of this monikers fought against me when I first brought them to the attention of this thread.

So, why should I against what I fought for?

Maybe this days, I don tire for such scouting because I can see some doing the good job hence my retirement from scouting FB. grin

We simply don't have the players to compete in this tournament, in addition the god of football does not care about us and other African countries....
Don't condemn the players before we have even kicked a ball....let's just be hopeful that god of football smiles on us and other African teams...to finally reach the semi final or final....fate has not been kind to us at all

I beg to disagree with you on that bro

African has not performed excellently at the world stage because of bad leadership and corrupt sports administrators

God is fair. If anything, a nation of 180 million people like Nigeria has produced talents that were not harnessed. The environment is not conducive and even soccer agents are greed personified

Stephen Keshi was never a Scam, rather a Nigerian Hero and African Legend. He won the AFCON against all Odds.

He gave a Life to the Nigerian League, made us believe there are talented Players in the League, though Raw but with little Polishing - they are bound to Shine beyond the Realm.

Within two Years 2004 - 2006, surprisingly he qualified Togo for their first ever Appearance in FIFA World Cup - 2 Years I repeat.

He also had Stints at Mali, qualified them for the AFCON 2010. We ain't celebrating him because he's ours. We were accusing him up and down because he's a Nigerian, a black Man.

Didn't Rohr had Stints with Africa Countries before Nigeria?! Didn't he fail and release from his Duty unceremoniously as a Coach of Burkina Faso National Team?!

Burkina Faso is more a footballing Nation than Togo. Keshi brought the Togolese National Team to the World Map, Rohr failed at Burkina Faso - still the Former is a Scam while the latter is a god.

I'm looking forward to see these four midfielders break out next season with the their respective senior teams.

KC Nwakali Arsenal or any reputable club in Europe's top five leagues

Tosin kehinde ; ManU or any reputable club in Europe's top five leagues

Ebere Eze ; Tottenham or any reputable club in any of Europe's top five leagues

Musa yahaya ; Porto or any reputable club in any of Europe's top five leagues

Kingsley Michael; Bologna or any reputable club in any of Europe's top five leagues

Ovie Ejaria ; Rangers

Tom Dele Bashiru ; Mancity or any reputable club in any of Europe's top five leagues

The recent craze for emerging foreign based talents with Nigeria/African roots will impact negatively on local talents and football development in Nigeria and Africa. I hope the football authorities prioritise football development, local talent search and the development of these kids. It will inevitably spell doom to sports development in general focusing attention on foreign based talents when less could be spent developing and harnessing the potentials back home.

Without serious investment and committed development in the league, Nigeria league especially will be seen as a platform for players to escape to Europe even Sudan, South Africa and North Africa. You will see a player blossom one season and the next season, he will disappear and waste in one obscure league abroad.

It is embarrassing watching people argue about the root and parentage of certain players. It was even more shameful watching fans booing Dele Alli over his choice and decision to play for England. What happened to your league? What happened to your primary school, secondary school sports competitions and the talents that emerge from there? What happened to the academies?

Countries invest significant amount of finance developing facilities, clubs invest in these kids teaching them the rudiments of the game by providing them with well qualified coaches, provision of standard football pitches and gears only for the likes of Pinnick and co to circle and hover around them like scavengers once the investments start yielding fruits. With all the kids coming out, be aware that not all of them will have what it takes to excel and be successful playing for countries like Nigerian national team, its the bitter reality. There will be the Ainas, Aluko who would not be selected in the final event. Being born abroad should not be a guarantee for invitation to the national team.

I watched and witnessed the Athletic federation of Nigeria invite and have American citizens naturalised and represent Nigeria in the Edinburgh common wealth games and it filled me with bitterness. Some of these athletes esp the sprinters struggle to run 100m in 10.10secs. All of them performed woefully in the US qualifications but Nigeria found them worthy to wear the green white green in an international events! How sad.

What are the north Africans doing differently? Can't that be replicated? Are those countries richer than Nigeria? Your best league players leave Nigeria league for any of the north African league before signing lucrative contract with a European team. Who reaps the rewards. A Nigeria football league player would first of all attend trials in Europe before being signed for a paltry sum and when that is signed, there are always fights and acrimonies between the parent clubs and the football bodies but it does not happen like that when a north African team is involved.

I expect to see all the football experts talking about these and proffering solutions but no you,d rather see them arguing and lamenting that a certain boy with a Nigerian name was playing for the same country that invested and believed in him to excel. You,d expect to see people here discussing the good players in the league and the possibilities of them breaking into the Eagles team but no they,d rather boast of acquiring countless coaching certificates with zero knowledge of what football management is all about.

Alaba was popular in media but not enough to merit a Super Eagles call up. Iwobi was not 17 when he debuted for us. So I wonder why you are bringing that up. Also an Arsenal academy player has more popularity than an Austria Wein player. Alaba also made his debut for the Austrian National team before he played for the main team of Bayern. Not our fault in any way.

Did Iwobi play for the main Arsenal team before he made his debut for Nigeria?

Who told you Alaba was an Austria Wein's player when he made his debut for Austria National team?
