Of course, Iheanacho is already in the team and he is left footed. Then we have Sone Aluko and Sheyi Ojo who are also left footed.

But they are different in the way they play.

I like Aluko but I don't think we are any close to Sheyi even though I also like him a lot.

Hope his team wins the final playoff match. I could still remember how Peter Nworah and Raheem Lawal singlehandedly carried their team to La Liga 123 from the 4 tier of the La Liga and almost got promoted to the Secunda division which is the second level of la Liga, within the space of 3 years before they were knocked out in the Semi finals playoffs.

Whatabout Ike Anya and Kabiru Akinsola who almost singlehandedly carried their team to the Secunda division when they scored 4 and 13 goals respectively along the line before they were also knocked out in the Semi finals playoffs and even went far in the Copa de Rel before they were knocked out by Valencia.

Not forgetting that Kabiru was bought by Granada after he scored 11 goals the previous season in same la Liga 123 before he was sent on loan where he replicated the same form. Even Ikechi Anya was bought by Granada too but both never kicked a ball before they left.

Ighalo nko! Who singlehandedly carried his Granada team from Segunda B division to Segunda division with 16 goals before he went to Seria A were he didn't get to play the next season though he returned in summer and helped Granada got promotion to the La Liga. But he was not really that good in the La Liga and was never considered for the SE.

My point is, not all Nigerian players that did well in that third tier of la Liga were ready when they climbed up the ladder, and none of these players were considered for the SE despite their blistering form then save Raheem Lawal. So, he should keep working hard. He is still young. Hopefully, his performance in a better league will get him noticed.

Raheem Lawal making the Super Eagles is another story for another day.

I don't think it is right to compare players situation. Each player is an individual and should be treated as such. Samuel is so young but yet has the doggedness and character to make it at the highest level. This is a boy who's dream of playing for Arsenal was shattered by no fault of his but yet he picked himself up and is now knocking on the door of a la liga first team. I just believe that with the talent he is showing and the club he is on we should start making room for him in the Super Eagles because it is not just his goals he shows strength and maturity on the ball.

So iwobi came to the team because his uncle is okocha? What happened to the catch them young mantra? Dude u are mentally deranged.

So the other players, who are their uncles? U always sound so f©©lish.

Oh even Moses made it because he once played in an Academy in Benin City before leaving for the UK? God! I haven't seen someone so stewpid.

The level I witnessed was high enough. Villarreal B could beat most league one teams. I was going by wat I was watching and IMO the boy is too good. Reports are that he will be with the first team come next season so you know it is by no fluke.

I slightly prefer this line up to the others because of two things

1) Croatia and Argentina are going to see more of the ball.
This is certainly bound to happen...our midfielders will look to try and nullify their efforts and block their final passes. However, Croatia will still have more ball possession
If we play just Mikel and ndidi, ndidi will be overworked as Mikel does not have the legs and energy to mark the Croatian midfielders when we don't have the ball. Ndidi will be forced to do a lot of work and he may be exposed...he can't be everywhere
With etebo in the field, ndidi will have support which he got from onazi during the qualifiers, while the workload for Mikel will be reduced

2) for the LCB, the only reason ogu makes it ahead of omeruo or awaziem is because of his height and his stronger left foot. Yes, he is slow but he brings balance to the back three on the left side. Had it been idowu was left footed, omeruo or awaziem would be a sure bet to start. But 2 right footed defenders on the left side of defence wouldn't strike a good balance there....so there we go

3) finally, moses does not make the team because he cannot be trusted...he suddenly feels like the neymar of Nigeria not knowing he is more of a raheem sterling... He does not strike me as a team player and would likely not contribute to defensive duties when things are getting tough..if he can change this, he is definitely a starter in the team, but if he keeps this up, he cannot be trusted and should be benched. He may then be good to unleash against the tired defenders later in the game.

Height is not that important but jump rate, mobility, reaction and recovery. Ogu may be tall but he is very heavy not agile, so the assumption that he has height advantage questionable.

On the left side against the Croatians he will be seen as Weak link. Under heavy pressure a liability.

My preferred back three would be Omeruo - Balogun - Ekong.

Logistics. U17 does not have the luxury of The Super Eagles to shuttle a player from Europe and back in preparation for the tournament. If he came on a platter in the later stages of his career, we would have snapped him. The timing was not right. It was not our fault in any way.

What will you say about Ademola and Ejaria who were screened in London pencilled in for the U17 and then somehow forgotten.

Noah bazee has been invited by rohr before...it was rohr that found him in Germany...but he is very prone to injury and did not play the game he was invited for
Ola aina is a regular....he was just unlucky
Same with onyekuru....injury and lack of match fitness ruined his chances
Lokosa is under rohr's watchful eye....that's how I see it
Moses simon......a stalwart of our team....will be back soon
I don't know ajagun and umar Mohammed
Is it peter or Paul onuachu...anyways I've heard of him..rohr should give him a chance perhaps
Kelechi nwakali....one for the future
Stephen eze should continue to play well for his club and his breakthrough will hopefully come
I was going to say uche agbo is unlucky...but is he cursed?...he is always invited but never plays
Sebastian osigwe and maduka okoye will be monitored after world cup
I don't know much about ebere eze
Chiba akpom is not pulling his weight...arsenal boy status no go help am oo....he has to do something
Ryan sanusi only showed interest in playing for Nigeria around the period they conducted the world cup draw, saying he might not get into the Belgium team but he will get into the Nigerian team.now we've not heard from him. Will he show the same interest after the world cup? Only time will tell
Then as for Dominic iorfa....his father has pretty much battered his chances of appearing for Nigeria....seeing as the NFF hardly mention him...he was one of the early euro born players NFF first contacted...but his father refused, that his son will play for England... Issorite oo
On the flip side, I really hope we get torunarigha and akpoguma, fingers crossed we get them

Actually that's totally UNTRUE.

Dominic Father said when he is 23 he will make the decision.

However, last summer when he was 21 and he had tied up his move to Ipswich Town. He then made a commitment to Nigeria essentially two years earlier.

Since that time Rohr and the NFF have been playing him Maradona left right and center. He us now back to Wolves recovering from Injury you we may see him in the EPL this season.

I noticed that a double standard was created for Jordan Torunarigha and Akpoguma both these players were essentially not interested. Nonetheless, Rohr and the NFF kept courting them. Meanwhile Iorfa was forgotten not even tested with a friendly invitation.

WHY

Etebo's move is disappointing especially as he had La liga, Bundesliga and Premier League clubs looking for his signature.

It appears that for Nigerian players, it is all about the most financially rewarding deal not necessarily the best career move. This is why Shehu went to Cyprus and Imoh Ezekiel went to Qatar.

I have witnessed screening exercise for U17 players in London. If you were there you would have cried buckets of tears for Nigeria.

I totally withdrew myself after that.

how often do you see premier league club buy staright from the championship?? it does not happen always?

English clubs has inferiority complex, they hadly go down ro get players rather they go to other league, I wish him all the best

I could go on and on and on there are too many.

Burnley predominantly buy from the Championship check thier players.

Liverpool bought Gomez from where at age 18 straight into the first team.

Everton bought Ademola, Mason Holdgate, Calvert Lewis, etc etc,

Finally who is the most expensive left back.in English football Ryan Ssegnon 18 years old last summer Liverpool bid £30 million Fulham refused.

Where was Dele playing before he came to the EPL

etebo's case is different to that of aluko because he is a part of the team already and rohr knows what he offers the team, also etebo is 22 while alukois approaching 30. ademola only trained with an assembled nigerian side which comprised of uk born nigerians years back and that doesn't put him on the mix.rohr personally approached him in german with a promise of picking him for the world cup but he declined. among those you mentioned its only ojo who have voiced his interest in playing fornigeria but was diplomatic about it. rohr have seen issac succes in close quarters but his fitness is was the major factor why he was left out after playing against senegal

Firstly, Aluko did exceptional playing for Nigeria and us part of the Nigerian set up. So also did Hope Akpan who dislocated his collar bone playing for Nigeria.

These players are both part of the Nigerian football set up. But they are not part of the arrangement set up of loyalty by payment.

You have no Idea what goes on behind bother scenes. There refusal to play ball with NFF officials has seem them frozen out.

Finally, let's forget the age ting please we know ourselves. If Aluko was born in Nigeria he will not be more than 25 possibly younger with a football age.

Is aina good enough?

Is agu good enough?

Does alampasu plays first team football?

Now go and ask brazil coach why he is about to take a 35 years old daniel alves to the world cup if not because of injury danilo will be no where near that team.

Still ask brazil coach why did he take a 30 year old marcelo and a 33 year old filepe luis and drop a younger alex sandro of juventus.

Before you open your mouth to talk about age why dont you ask if the younger ones are good enough.

Echijile might be a bad player but if you think old aina is good enough because he was born in uk the you must be the biggest dreamer ever.

Be objective being born in the UK has absolutely nothing to do with Anything.

Simple question is Echiejile better than Aina

olayinka at par with onyekuru and better than samuel kalu? why hasnt he attracted top scouts from big european leagues yet? onyekuru have shown that he is not a flash on the pan by having 2 good seasons in the same belgian league where was olayinka then? is olayinka even better than dennis bonaventure?bros nawaoooooo grin grin grin grin grin grin

Is this not what some peeps used to mock Kayode last year when dey sais why has he not attracted top scouts from big clubs if he is good enough because Everton bought Onyekuru but their mouth where shut when Man City and Newcastle came for him?

Today we know what's up

Anyway, I want to believe the reason you think Onyekuru is better than Peter Olayinka is based on his GOALS because of this statement 'Onyekuru has shown that he is not a flash in the pan having 2 good season in the same Belgian League', right?

I agree Onyekuru is than Peter Olayinka when it comes to goal scoring but I don't think he is better than him because both contribute goals directly or indirectly which is the primary role of a winger. For instance, Onyekuru contributed 31 goals in his first season in the Belgium league last season while Olayinka contributed 26 goals in his first season in the Belgium league. If we look at the stats critically, Onyekuru who scored 22 goals with 9 assists is a better goalscorer while Olayinka who scored 11 goals with 15 assists is a better team player.

Apart from this, if we look at the other attributes like team game, aerial threat, versatility, skills, etc I don't think Onyekuru is better than him in all those aspects. It is either Onyekuru is better in skills aspect or the other while Peter is better as a team player or better in aerial threat.

As far as concern, they are par.

You are asking where was Olayinka, when Olayinka helped an Albanian club to win their league twice in a row and later helped them to qualify before he even played in the Europa league, Onyekuru was still in the Belgium second division league.

Peter was already a Gent player before Onyekuru thought of playing in the Belgium league. Of course, He did not play because injury ruined his season then but by the time he came back they bought another player hence the reason he was sent on loan on two occasions.

However, if you think Onyekuru is better than Peter Olayinka because of his goal-scoring attribute, what makes you think Samuel Kalu and Dennis Bonaventure are better than Peter who has contributed more goals than both with 26 goals this season against 14 goals and 17 goals they scored respectively?

Remember, this is Samuel Kalu's first and the half season in the Belgium league yet Peter has scored more goals than him and almost equal his 16 assists with his 15 assists in just one season?

Now, tell me how these two players better pass Peter.

Abi na by name you think say dem sabi play pass?
