For crying out loud instrumentation and control Engineering is a huge oil and Gas course and a sub discipline of Electrical Electronics Engineering. It's too bad we have non professionals handling this. Of course that's the reason I wasn't shortlisted it's a pity

All these big big engineering names self dey fear person; they were just afraid to sponsor big names. imagine a less intimidating course name such as Petroleum Geoscience, which oil company wouldn't want to sponsor that??

In a CBT exam, let's say Dragnet, is it better not to answer a question I don't know than guessing?

Or am I the only one that has be befallen with such New and Discipline unrelated questions, PS I studied Petroleum Engineering and all I saw in General Engineering is civil engineering related

The test is just unreasonable. Anybody who gets the scholarship is truly a SCHOLAR.

All engineering candidates wrote the same thing. Dragnet were just so unreasonable.

Discipline specific questions for geoscience was so cool for me. That's the only section i can say i did well.

1. NUMERICAL REASONING
This section is just not cool, in any aptitude test, you are expected to test accuracy and speed. In doing so, you should give small values and fractions that can be manipulated since you are not giving is calculator, not stupid values like 29,908.
Even if you can give strong large values at least let the options be wide. Not giving us options like 11.21, 11.22, 11.23 etc.
This is highly unprofessional.

2. VERBAL REASONING.
This is the only section that is a little bit balanced.

3. ENGINEERING SECTION
This is the useless questions I ever read in my life. How is this fair at all?

I second your Numerical reasoning comment
The comprehensions in this verbal were too long for the time allotted
And in the Engineering section, this was sheer Laziness on Dragnet's part
How can you clump several disciplines and bring weird questions for them to answer.

I guess you wrote dragnet's aptitude test for the first time. The numerical section is not new. it has always been that way.

Well, the approach may not make sense as you have said; personally, i think it doesn't make sense. But if you've known the way a man thinks before hand irrespective of either he makes sense or not, you won't be surprised.

I've written close to 10 times too and passed a few times

my venue for the test was @abuja. was able to change it to kano center prior to the test via the fot portal. The test coordination was OK. candidates for d PST grad scholar dt took d test would hardly amount to 60(not sure) in kano. Requirement for taking d test, were valid Id card or nin slip, print out from fot showing ur invitation and also NAE declaration form. Getting a biro along is also important. the test were basically into three stages: Verbal reasoning, numerical( mostly percentage chats problems) and nae engineering (mostly marine, chem, mech, and civil engine questions). elect engine questions were like 3. each category approx 20 questions in 20min. except for d last discipline related category that was 16min. calculators were not allowed @kano test center. even D default calculator apps in the computers weren't allowed...as invigilators constantly moved around to see if candidates were using it. Definitely many candidates would find it uneasy to maximize d little time in d numerical category due to diz factors. that's my Lil feedback on d agip nae postgrad scholarship test dt took place on 23/06/201
