Calm Returns To Maiduguri Airport After Protest By Soldiers by owukpa(m): 9:18am On Aug 13, 2018 |
The Nigerian Army says calm has been restored to the Maiduguri International Airport following the Sunday’s protest by some soldiers of the Special Strike Forces in Operation Lafiya Dole. The soldiers had protested against their posting to Marte, a Local Government Area in Northern Borno State. Confirming the development in a statement forwarded to DAILY POST on Monday, Colonel Onyema Nwachukwu , Deputy Director Public Relations, Theatre Command operation Lafiya Dole, said calm had since been restored, as the Theatre Commander, Major General Abba Dikko had promptly taken charge of the situation after addressing and admonishing the troops. He said, “The Theatre Command yesterday witnessed a riotous reaction from a few unscrupulous troops while conducting a redeployment of troops who are currently deployed at the Maiduguri Airport, following a directive to review troops' deployment in Maidugurimetropolis in a bid to reinvigorate the security architecture of the city. “The redeployment became expedient after a recent assessment of the security situation by the Theatre Command. Regrettably however, a few of the troops who had misunderstood the development and erroneously assumed it was going to negatively affect their rotation from the theatre of operation became agitated and reacted by firing into the air. “Calm has, however, been restored, as the Theatre Commander, Major General Abba Dikko has promptly taken charge of the situation after addressing and admonishing the troops." http://dailypost.ng/2018/08/13/calm-returns-maiduguri-airport-protest-soldiers/ 1 Like

And they will court martial them and execute them secretly for fighting for their right to life and unjust deployment, poor boys Life isn't fair to most people born in Nigeria without a godfather or rich family to speak for them From the report already, they have singled out some of them who probably have nobody to stand for them and labelled them unscrupulous soldiers, and they will be heading to execution front to be tied on the drum and shot at close range while their colleagues who have godfathers and from big family backgrounds will be getting instant promotion and posting to comfortable regions to harass innocent Nigerians But I am here to speak for them and to warn the military commanders and the leadership of Nigeria that if these soldiers get jailed or executed for this, their blood will rise up and consume many souls among the top military leadership and Nigerian federal government leadership as well, and it will take down their beloved ones sooner or later 17 Likes 1 Share |

When they were posted to d East to python dance there was no protest but as the cowards they are the fear of Boko Haram made them thought twice before they die like rats. If na to suppress protests by unarmed civilians they would run like zombies and use civilians as target practice 4 Likes 1 Share |

Its unfortunately that soldiers have little right to protest being sent on a suicide mission. These guys know the terrain very well and think that they are being used as sacrificial lambs in that deployment just like the 600 that were lost and unaccounted for in Yobe when Boko Haram overran their post due to failure of intelligence by the Quota System commanders. 1 Like |
