I have a tenant who is sitting on my head and I need help.
I rented out my property to him given to financial straits. I stated in the tenancy agreement that I only need him for a year and he agreed.
After the expiry, he pleaded for some months grace and I accepted. He is now fighting me and has refused to surrender my property back to me. He is an education secretary in one of the local governments in my State. What pains me most is that during his stay on the stated property, he got involved in a problem with his sons and I had to help settle for him by selling off my vehicle despite my problems. He is currently sending his sons after me. Despite my pleas that he honour the agreement we signed, he is telling me (an orphan) that he is a victim of circumstance.
Please, I need help given to the reason that he is breaking the agreement we earlier had and shoving his problems to me.
For full details, my WhatsApp is 08136241827.
Thank you.

Go to the barrack.

Soldiers will take it from there.

Rather than I ask you take him to court (which I won't suggest due to their time wasting nature),
I would suggest you go to your nearest Local government.
Most local governments always have a small court that handles issues such as this.

It's not a court per Se But would handle this effectively.
As long as it's clearly stated in the Agreement document, you are a winner already.
You don't even need a lawyer and their services are free.

Alternatively, a visit to the police station making a statement shouldn't only work but effectively make him realize that if anything happens to you, they would be held responsible.

I suspect your problem is Fear of the Police.
The police aren't always as bad as we see them.

Either of the above would fix the issue. As for threat to your life, I would suggest you make a statement at the police station.

Also have you approached the Landlord association which I assume you member of if you're a landlord?
They should be able to give you a tip or two.
But I won't be surprised if they aren't - after all most of those elders are too out dated to be of help most times.

NB: it's things such as these that makes the innocent keep suffering because tomorrow now, a good person needing assistance wouldn't get one because you won't want a repeat of what you're experiencing now.

PSS: please make sure you don't pay money to anyone anywhere (nairaland or outside) promising to help you do this or that.

Follow my suggestions above and it would be history. If you aren't so learned, get someone close to you to accompany you while you move about.

Should be resolved on no time.

Best of luck

I want to believe you're joking.

Comments such as these are an insult to that group of personnels.
Moreover if he succeeds in using the Soldiers in doing this, the OP might end up causing issues himself and wouldn't bother since he can always use his usual machineries deal with those he's oppressing

I have attended a small court comprising of elders within my vicinity today. He had nothing to say and I I have presented all signed documents. Though it favours me, I'm not okay given to the reason that final decision is postponed to next week.
Moreover, with my financial straits, I can't make a move.

Get to your local government. And ask questions. I want to believe you would be directed.

Also if you're in Lagos, let me know.

Alternatively, wait till the next week you were given.

I've attended the hearing of today and judgement is in my favour. He is to pack out on November 20,2018. Really hoping that he leaves immediately.
