The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose, not to dump the party.

Fayose on Monday threatened to dump PDP, over what he described as attempt by some people to take over the structure of the party and sideline those who have been toiling to keep the party together.

Speaking with newsmen in Ado-Ekiti, Fayose said: “We have no regret aligning with Governor Nyesom Wike to support Governor Tambuwal for the presidential ticket and no apologies either.

“We appeal to him not to leave the party, he has been an asset and he has benefited from the party. Let him defect if he wants to. There's freedom of association. Wike too can go to APGA if he feels disappointed. Tambuwal himself has already pledged his support for Atiku. All Nigeria needs is a leader that would bring about the real change and not the yahoo/419 change they promised in 2015. Whether the person is in ANN or ADP,it does not matter.
