It's obvious that when the gift of Leadership was being shared, no one was lucky enough to have gotten in the South East.

These two dumbos in the Senate have succeeded in underlining the very issue a lot of Nigerians have with Igbos- everything must be theirs or allocated to them. Once they are not part of it, then it's unfair or evil. Meanwhile there are over 100 other tribes in this country. Many do not wail this much to have any of their sons represent their interest. Smarter ethnic groups are aligning themselves politically for good gains for their people and all the Igbos could do is ask that it should be given to them on a platter of gold.

Let's keep praying foe the SouthEast, that God will raise true leaders in their midst. Enough of the frauds who keep fleecing them under the guise of taking them to a promised land

bad move by mr vico, he should have suggested a cow from the south east, they would have considered. obvioysly military officers from the south east are not competent to become service chiefs but rather servant chiefs.

[s]How many Service Chief positions are available? Just 4.

How many geopolitical regions exist in Nigeria? 6.

How many tribes exist in Nigeria? Over 100.

Sen. Victor Umeh, while fighting for his own tribe and region, should have told us which region currently occupying a Service Chief role out of the 4 available (2 to the North and 2 to the South), should be dropped in favour of the almighty Igbo?

Maybe Buhari should drop the SouthSouth Naval Service chief for their greedy Igbo neighbours?

Imagine this Senator even has the names of Igbos who he hopes would replace the Chief of Army Staff?

By this singular mention, he has killed the career of a political soldier.

So the North East too, upon losing Buratai, would then raise their own motion that they are not included in a slot of only 4 positions that all regions and tribes cannot occupy simultaneously?

What manner of senatorial buffoonery is this?

Na so that Eyinnaya Abaribe just lose his N300m bond to hunchback Kanu's megalomania?[/s]

How many major tribes are in Nigeria? - 3 - Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba!

How many service Chiefs are being occupied by Fulani? - 2 out of 4!

How many are occupied by Igbo - None!

If you are the only one not seeing Buhari's Nepotism, then your own Zombism is at the highest irredeemable level!!

Nigeria's constitution does not recognise anything as major tribe.

A minority Ijaw man already became President of this country.

So try again with your disregard for Southern and Northern minorities.

Besides, Buratai is Kanuri, a minority, and there is no rule that says any specific tribe must have a permanent role among the service chiefs.

Educate your ignorance, dispel your arrogance and whittle down on the delusional self entitlement.

Those two yeebos senators are dumb, were they sleeping when the service chiefs were confirmed.
And the Nigerian military has just 3 arms, with a Chief of defense staff, so it's not possible for all the six geopolitical regions to be represented, there was a time the south west was not represented during the tenure of GEJ.
So make the chest beaters go chill.

God will continue to bless you. SW is by far the most mature region, we did not cry foul duringg GEJ era despite the obvious marginalization.

Burutai is a kanuri man North east (army)
Sadiq is Fulani man North west (air force)
Olonisakin is a Yoruba from ogun southwest(defence chief)
Ibok Ekwe Ibas ibibio/efik south south (navy)

So Mr genius, kindly suggests the tribe you want buhari to fire and replace with an Igbo man. And when the last army chief came from southeast, hope you also lamented

Would have been better if you'd gotten yourself informed, rather than this your public display of ignorance.
Of the 4 service chiefs,2 are from the Northeast.
The Ministers of Defense and Interior are both from the Northwest. The CDS and VP from the Southwest, while only the CNS from the 'South-south'.Leaving the Southeast and North-central from the equation. Senators of the middlebelt extraction may be cool with their lot, those of the Southeast are not.

You are the ignorant fellow here.

There are only 4 Service Chief positions, and I rightly said 2 are from the North without saying where in the North, while 2 are from the South, also without saying where in my initial sentence.

As far as that is concerned, that is a good balance both geographically and religiously.

If the 2 in the North are from the same zone, that is left for the North to worry about. While the 2 from the South are from different zones.

So on that request for Service Chiefs, Victor Umeh lacks any sound argument.

You would do well to rather demand for security ministry roles or intelligence roles as already demanded by Victor Umeh, and as you can observe, I did not highlight such demand for my critique as it is not flawed.

But obviously both him and you are more interested in the Service Chief roles, and in particular, the Army. The same interest that other zones and multiple tribes can also lay claim to.

Trying to be smart by half after being caught out,are you?.
Umeh's motion was based on the composition/makeup of the NSC/NDC not abiding the the Federal Character provisions of the Constitution and that's what I pointed out to your ignorant self.
There's no such thing as North/South recognized in those provisions.
