This is actually Crap...Nigeria's Image Battered? You should stop accepting micro aggressions from these white people...I guess the irish people are 100% saints with no Criminals.....Whites will always brand foreigners..... if you are arab you are a terrorist, if you are from south america you are escobar...Anybody that commits crime will carry the consequence on HIS head..Nigeria's Image is INTACT!
I suppose you are here in Ireland too and also choose to live in denial. Maybe you should do a research on Nigerian assylum seekers here. I am sure your discovery will marvel you. I am not saying other countries don't have some small segment of their population engaging in frivolous activities, but their country's image is on a positive note globally. Take it or not, we have a be reputation as a country here in ireland and you know it too except you choose too live in denial. Probably you may be a beneficiary of one of the typical Nigerian politician singing vague music about Nigeria but the truth is Nigeria has no good image in the global scene. I am not a politician and won't want to delve in the usual rhetorics of the Nigeria is the giant of Africa when in actual sense, it's a charade.

Bro..I will be studying msc in management. Pls is it among the list of skilked occupation employment permit list?? I don't understand how that stuff works?
Please do your research. You can Google and see the list for yourself. Someone pasted the list here sometime ago but I don't think you will have any difficulty in locating that on the internet.

You should have done this long before now before settling for a course of study which would be in line with your career path.

Dear Parnerus,,

You guys are doing a great job, but their is something I want us to clear.. If someone is asking a particular question I believe the person is actually deficiency in that aspect, but you see understanding matters a lot..Its like a guy that an agent is trying to persuade to pay €3000 ,everyone tried to discourage him.. Not telling the person go to internet and research then why are we hear... You that is their you may have come across issues and fact on ground.. Looking at the site in question most of the skills were not expressly started.except ICT, medical, the business lines are being coted in a way,so it still need expact to delienate into it to explain..We all know most jambite choose courses not that he/she really understand what the course entails..But the intelligent ones goes to thier supervisor to explain to them. Most agent will sell monkey fingers in the name of human hand and I think that is why people need clarity... You are doing wonderfully well oooo

Hi Bikwa,

That I am here doesn't connote I know every career that is on the skilled occupation shortage list. However, if you aren't seeing the course on the list then it's as simple as its not amongst the list. However, I can help me make enquiries on that in school. Again, I pray you are granted visa so you see how busy you will be schooling, working and same time making out time to visit this webpage. The truth is, it's not easy. So please be patient with me, I will inquire today from the international office once I am done with lectures for today. Thank you very much and God bless.

Moving on to serious matters!!!

Roll -Call and recap as we round up 2018 in the next few weeks:

1. If you have a masters degree and you are less than 40 years preferably less than 35 years with very good english language skills---- Please and please, check your occupation / field here:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/eligibility/find-national-occupation-code.html

And start your Canadian PR processing.

2. If you have a bachelor's degree or PhD , less than 35 years with at least 5 years professional work experience in what you studied at either bachelors/ HND /OND/PhD level and your occupation is on this list:

https://archive.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/work/work/skills-assessment-and-assessing-authorities/skilled-occupations-lists

Start your Australian PR process. Please note: Australia removes occupations like 2 or 3 times a year , so carry out comprehensive research.

3. If you don't have access to funds of at least #7m , please don't apply to Ireland . This price estimate is for singles , if you're married , you should have way more.

4. If your parents are government officials e.g custom officials or entrepreneurs with no trading records, try and find a way to make the proof of funds legit if applying to Ireland. Else, just process UK- most of our partner universities now have 2 years masters program in the UK - 1 year masters degree and 2 year paid internship.

5. If you are married and what to study in Ireland, for the final time you can't go with dependents or family members. You are only permitted to do so if its a PhD program.

6. If your program will be for more than 1 year, you may have to renew insurance for each year.

7. New regulations for people currently studying in Ireland: If you want to visit Nigeria for holidays whilst your program is still in progress , kindly contact the GNIB for relevant travel permits. Ths however excludes those with British passport or American passports.

People should try as much as possible to conduct personal research and cost estimations.

No one is forcing anyone to travel to Ireland also note that people travel for further studies for different reasons.

While there lots of millionaires in Nigeria, some people have decided they want a better future for themselves and their family abroad while others feel they can't achieve their best potential in Nigeria.

ICaS and other contributors are only here to share our experience and provide guidance, decision is left to you.

As we head into 2019, may it be our best year in all we desire for good in Jesus name.

This will be helpful to me in the future.

Whatever I write now is solely my own opinion.

To your question I will say YES there are great hopes of staying back on graduation. First we all know we have 2 years extra on graduation to work full time of 40 hours a week. Secondly, my current course of study in on the skilled occupation list which is currently in high demand here. That is not to infer that I don't know that there is racial discrimination against black applicants but seriously with sheer determination, you will get a job. Also I work part time in a hotel and I was told by my supervisor on options to stay black which hitherto o was oblivious of. I cant start typing all that here on the internet. So to your question, I would Yes there are great hopes of staying back hrre. But the truth is, it all boils down to the individual. What are your life goals? Can you stay focused when you get here and face wwhwt exactly brought you here? Or you would go for endless partying and clubbing? It all depends on the individual. If you know your root and also have it at the back of your mind that to whom much is given, much is expected, then you will work towards it. But seriously there are several options one can take to stay back but I can't start typing that here.

Hi Partnerus.

Your contributions have really been expository and insightful.

I have Ireland as a backup plan for my education furtherance next year.

Whats your opinion on doing furthering in one of the following endeavours:

- MBA
- M.Sc Supply Chain Management
- Process Management.

Are these courses in high demand over there in Ireland? Will i stand a chance in favourably competing for jobs upon graduation?

Please advise

Bros read through the thread .

Plus if you're above 23 years , its unlikely to get a visa to study UG program.

Thats 1st hand info from Irish embassy

How about someone that has several months to clocking 23 as at the time of visa application for UG studies?

I will advise you go for MBA with an option in related discipline. The reason is because it's broad and most courses treated in MBA are amongst the skilled occupation list in high demand. Thank you.
