Last month i bought a sharpener that does not worth was not worth 50 Naira for 300 Naira in Ikoyi. Four seeds of tomatoes goes for 800 Naira.

Nigerians should for the love of God stop saying 'does not worth'. It's an atrocious butchery of the English language.

And he's likely going to fail the exam.
If he didn't come with a pencil, he didn't come prepared grin

This is fallacy, this is Trash! Which adult carries pencil around? Did he entered the exam hall without his pencil?

That's common for VI and Ikoyi.

Over-inflated prices of items in some stores. Forgot to bring my shorts for a weekly football session, decided to get in a store nearby and they told me 32k was the least price for a short they had. This was not the complete jersey and from the label it was the counterfeit.

I jejely turned back and missed training for that week. You hear things like 25k slippers, 12k groundnut. They have their target audience which are the foreigners or expatriates who when they do the conversion to the dollar feel it is justifiable to buy such.

1500 pencil is just like $3.50. Wouldn't be out of place to buy pencils at such price in the US or Uk.

The Island is a place where money is wasted on frivolities. That's why our slay mamas will do anything to get to Lekki to club, smoke shisha, brink, hook up with men. Even girls can travel from as far as Makurdi to Lekki just to have a feel of Lagos. They believe Lekki is Lagos. No where else is Lagos. Well if I was a smart and astute business man, I will carry my business to Lekki and smile home to the bank daily. Lekki is where money is wasted on frivolities.

Hmmmmm, when he knows things are expensive and he may eventually be in need of it, he should have bought
some and kept in the house, it's a waste of money to buy pencil at that amount when normal pencil is N20.

That's not true. At least #30 to #50 for normal HB pencil.

20 leaves exercise book that used to be #10 is now #50.
