There is a lot of sense in what Saraki is saying, this subsidy thing is the greatest scam ever.
Investor confidence in Nigeria is very low at the moment and without direct foreign investment we may not get the needed money to revamp the much needed infrastructure.
I just dey fear for Nigeria because daily crude oil is losing it's value and APC will continue borrowing to fund the budget.
The bad thing is Buhari is more interested in covering up his incompetence instead of appointing technocrats to help him.

Saraki has no point because these matters are always brought before the NASS for appropriation. They can always reject it or call the NNPC or Petroleum Ministers to come and explain. To now be raising issues on the pages of newspapers after the NASS, which he heads as Chairman and Senate President, has approved the matter is the height of stupidity.

Let assume we have 11 million vehicles. At least 8 million will buy less than 5 litres per day
That's 40 million litres. Then how about fueling generator..?

Definitely we consumed more than 50million litres per day. Omo baba oloye.. grin
I assume you are joking but if otherwise, you are an hypocrite. How could you have forgotten what the country passed through years back under both APC and PD? Both parties mean no good for Nigerians. Don't be deceived by this gimmick!!!

True....

Ask yourselves, how do you use 75% more fuel when you have:

-20m jobloss..
-Reccession..
-800 companies closed up..
-80m poor destitutes..
-Poverty capital..
-Ban on Cotonou cars..
-Custom charge on imported vehicles increased by 70%..
- Little or no buying power from the populace..
- Alleged better electricity (fashola)..
- NNPC sole importer..
- increase in fuel price (less quantity purchase)..
- New car purchase at its lowest
- Budget not fully implemented due to revenue shortfall..
- More fuel efficient cars compared to 2015
- Secured borders on tankers (according to Alli)

We need to start asking the right questions.. are you spending more or less?

the 2 million vehicles include keke, Okada etc. how many Nigerians do you even think can afford 25 liters in their cars everyday?

very strong.....I pity atiku.after spending his dollars ,his eyes go clear
as it stands a lot of politicians are scared to spend what they have, even atiku himself has not started campaigning as much as he should. Banks no longer gives loans because of uncertainty in the political scene. Everywhere is calm. This brings me to think the renewed attack by BHT is politically motivated. Sooner or later we will know the truth.

Thing is, we probably consume 50m liters a day.

Cars, buses, generators, bikes, keke napep, some trucks, etc....

Ah well, removing subsidy would end all this arguing. But since neither PDP nor APC want to lose their jobs....

Funny enough you're still making the same mistake. You're quoting a body whose your president faults it's statistics on unemployment figures. Whose president ask them to change figures and include agriculture as employment figures. Common ure smarter than this.

Under Jonathan when the economy was better, naira was stronger, people had jobs and were living better, we were consuming 30m litres per day. Under buhari and his bad economy that has sent people out of jobs, weakened the naira, and has seen Nigeria become the poverty capital of the world, we are consuming 50m litres per day. People who support buhari are not just outrightly stupid and dumb but also dishonest and fraudulent.

Don't be delusional bros. Things like the current rail projects and alleged improvements in power supply should have helped reduce the fuel consumption drastically if truly are real and working. You can't hide such lies with phantom estimates like you just tried to do.

The truth is I do not know neither do you

Let us not get into silly assumptions or beer parlour analysis

What we need is facts not assumptions

This is a matter that can be easily audited forensically by examining therecords and bank accounts of all the petrol stations in the country
