I have been a silent follower of this thread & I must confess that I have learnt a lot. Thanks for the time you guys have put together to make sure guys like me are guided. However, I’ll appreciate if experienced guys in Germany can do justice to my little questions below:

(1) My plan is to try my luck for the winter admission. I studied elect/elect for my undergraduate course & plan to have my Msc in information & communication Engineering. I currently work in one of the internet service provider in Nigeria with a good pay.

(2) What do you think of someone that earns over 200k here in Nigeria as salary taking up the Germany Msc route?

(4) I plan to study and hustle same time. So on the other hand I’m considering a course not too tasking. Maybe something that has a blend of technology+Management. Any suggestion on the choice of course will be appreciated.

(3) I’m planning to apply with my girlfriend so that we can enter Germany for our Msc together. Probably same school or same city. She wants to study Biotechnology but it seem schools offering this course are very limited in Germany. Any suggestion for someone that studies Bsc Microbiology will be appreciated.

Thanks guys!

1. You read engineering so you have good chances. I think electricians are needed a lot in Germany

2. 200k is just 500 euros , so I'm sure you would wanna do an Msc and earn more.

3. I don't know why it came after 4. Lol. But it seems u love ur babe so much. There are a lot of biology and microbiology related courses in winter. A lotttttttttttttttt. Just filter with daad. And I think living in same city is ideal. Saves you rent money, food money and konji-curing money cheesy

4. TUM has msc in management and technology. They have even given admissions for summer already. So winter, try and do your Uniassist early, cos application period is usually short.
Then still filter on https://www.daad.de/deutschland/studienangebote/international-programmes/en/result/?q=&degree%5B%5D=2&lang%5B%5D=2&fos=5&crossFac=&cert=&admReq=&scholarshipLC=&scholarshipSC=&langDeAvailable=&langEnAvailable=&lvlEn%5B%5D=&cit%5B%5D=&tyi%5B%5D=&fee=500000&bgn%5B%5D=2&dur%5B%5D=&sort=4&ins%5B%5D=&subjects%5B%5D=40&limit=10&offset=&display=list

Good luck

Hello my people,

For anyone planning on doing msc in computer science or anything related to software development, I will advice you to learn a programming language before coming here. Its just so very very important, the professors expect you to know how to program and in every course module, there is a project in which you must develop. Most of the times you have to use a language decided by the professor, this is the reason you have to have a grip on a particular programming language before coming to germany so that you can use the idea when developing with other languages, most of the time the difference is just the syntax.

For those who know how to program already, try to create a mini project to showcase your skills this can help you in getting internships faster.

For those who are planning to work and study...... My people E NOR EASY OOO * 3 . "Body nor be Firewood"

For the hopefuls, 2019 is your year. Deutschland awaits you!

When you enter Deutschland you go know say here make sense but 9ja sweet, so enjoy yourself before coming and cherish the moments with family.

#stay blessed
Bro thanks for this piece, I guess you are a computer science student, which city are you studying?

cool If you can, learn coding.....work go pursue you enter gutter. Atleast that one no need language proficiency. i actually got an offer in my Uni but na C++ dem need but na Python i dey write. The pay na die and i could work longer hours had i known C++.

9) Even as a student (Where i live) you need to earn net of 1500 euro monthly to invite your "anybody".....make you know ooooo. This net is not possible for a student to earn legally.

10) Before you come here, If you like, give woman belle, if you like promise girl marriage, i nogo warn you grin grin grin grin grin grin grin
except your religion and personality permits many wives and your current "plural" no get mind to kuku poison you and your new plural.
Better remain single and come here because even plural people come here port to single grin grin grin grin grin grin. Survival is he name of the game. I nogo overflog this one.

11) If you come here with hustle for head, make sure you smart pass the gwomenti. I have seen where they control one nigga give am 30 days to leave DE. The nigga arrange lawyer, show that he passed certain number of courses in school, spent all that hustle money back to gwomenti. So, arrange you juju well well make you fit miss.

K'emesia.

Thank you!
Please, is it compulsory I get certified in the programming language before I’m able to get the JOB??
If yes, is there any short course programming course you know of in Germany? (With certificate)
NB: BSc. is not in Computer Science

Again, thank you!

Good morning.. Please I need your advice, no insult please.. I have an opportunity to work in civil defence and also to work as a lecturer in College of education Zuba Abuja.. But my plans was to leave Nigeria for Germany to study and work after school, but don't know the chances of getting a job. Don't want to make mistakes.. Abeg make una advice me... Danke

I 'll answer u because i was faced with these months back. I was ready to plot my name into this current FRSC recruitment but smh i didn't have peace with that because my 'heart of hearts' want to leave this country for studies, am fed up with everything that life has to offer in Nigeria no matter my monthly income. There are over 1m+ ways to die in this country daily, news this morning has it that over 1000 death last year was caused by lassa fever, not to think of road accident, fuel tanker fall and many more abhorrent scenes that happens daily in our country.

Life expectancy in Germany is over 80 while in Nigeria, just 50 something, imagine.

To answer ur question, it all boils down to what u want o ( in d voice of my Pastor). If u can live with the conditions here and u love the job, go for it but i prefer to have an average income in a country where her system works and my children welfare guaranteed than to be answering Rich man where i don't kno when it will be my turn to be kidnapped, my money value now has no guarantee in future like her economy etc. Mind u, even the rich in Nigeria also cry and can never get enough of the quality of Life d average man abroad gets. Na when emergency set in, u will hate Nigeria system in toto.

So what do u want sir? go for it and u will never regret it.

Are u sure of ur No.1 answer, I know BSc Mech Eng is not sufficient for MSc IT but E/E, I don't know sha, he should enquire. The better option is always Computer Science and Mathematics.

I agree with ur No.2

MCB should be able to study Biotechnology (MSc).

Hello guys i need candid advice. As a graduate in Bsc physics here I am wary of going to do MSc in physics because I know there are gaps that one has due to the education system here in Nigeria. Now I am trying to go in to software engineering but it seems german universities won't admit you unless you did computer science as that is a requirement. My target was this summer as some schools till accept online applications but now am confused cos if I apply for physics MSc I probably will get the admission but then am scared I might face huge issues coping cos of the like I said gap in the system on the other hand if I apply for MSC computer science or software engineering I may not get it due to the fact that I don't have a background in computer science. Am so confused men. I don't want to take on more than I can chew.
Are there fundamental courses or something on e can take if I were to somehow land there.
Am running form physics even though I have loved it with passion but I know the stress i went through here and sometimes when I think back I feel like I wasted 4 years. Anyone with advice. I still wanna apply for this summer sha. Can I still cope if I went for physics though I would love to do software engineering as I can program.

Abeg apply first get visa and come. When you are here you can now decide to change if you feel like you can't cope.

These are questions you can't have a definite answer while in Nigeria. Just find a way to come first. The rest can be sorted on ground.

Don't delay because of such trivialities.

I think you need security. Those jobs you listed are secure jobs, from the government.
Weigh that with your reasons for traveling. If you can achieve more with the job in Nigeria, stay back.
Honestly, no be everybody wey go Germany de hammer heavily. So check your goals and align then with which one would help you attain then faster.
I think civil defence pays really well sha
And remember u don't pay taxes in Nigeria, but also remember that euros is ever rising and naira is continually falling.
€8860 was about 1.8m 3 years ago, now it's almost 4m.
Everything de your hand smiley

If you don't pay tax, some others do. BTW that is our madness in this country, freedom to do anyhow, freedom to drive anyhow in traffic, dispose refuse anywhere, on noisy generator anytime even in the midnight, play music at over high volumes not minding next door neighbor, freedom to be mad and nobody go talk to you.

Na so one man start pig rearing in my street, he lives in the same street and sees the level of air pollution his business is causing yet he keeps postponing when he will transfer the animals. Reports have been sent to every form of authority but d man just d settle them and posting residents here. His last promise was January this year but I learnt the animals are still there.

In short, our unguided freedom is the cause of our madness and bane of development.

My dear you would make the best decision by your self.
Seek for Where you find peace .
I spent one month looking at my 4M if I should use it for germany waka or remain in nigeria to do something new. But sadly Nothing interested me in nigeria anymore(sometimes I still ask myself if I made the right choice,it's still to early to say).

There are alot of factors involved. Sadly Nigeria is not getting any better or safer, but then again if you have a good paying job .....

It's left for you to decide...

Coming here is worth it at the long run.
But don't put it at the back of your mind it's all Rosie and easy because it's not.

Make the right choice.
Best wishes

When you come here you can freely change your course of study. Of course not too many times else it looks suspicious, but quite a few times.

Even German sef change their course of study after some semester when they realize they made a mistake.

Good afternoon friends, brothers, sisters and family

Yesterday I succeeded in collecting my letter of English proficiency and forwarding my transcript so I can get it from my school

But I have another thing running through my mind. I studied Environmental Health Technology at Hnd Level and Environmental Health Science at Bsc level but as at the time I would apply come April, I would be able to use the Hnd because the Bsc cert won't be available by then

Is there any school you can refer me to that prefers letter of English Proficiency to TOEFL. i am looking for any means to boycott that TOEFL exams. Any help in sourcing for any school with any related course at Bsc level will be appreciated

I don try tire to dey search

God bless everyone

I have TOEFL (81) and other necessary documents and I'm looking forward to applying for the winter session 2019.

Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

You are really new on this bro. Courses doesn't display while applying for TUM on Uniassist cos you are only applying for VPD via Uniassist, You still gonna apply on TUM application portal for your course, its on the portal you gonna see your course. Application via uni assist its jest for preliminary document which you gonna include into your documents when applying on TUM application portal.

Just click on continue on the first page of Uniassist Portal

I hope this help
