So , two courts in different jurisdictions translated law / constitution differently and gave different judgements ?? thats how you'll know money influences judgements in courts 38 Likes 4 Shares |

INEC in a quandary. Which of these judgements do they obey? How come there are even two differing judgements on one issue? Did money exchange hands? It'll be in INEC's best interest to approach an higher court for proper interpretation ASAP. Else, we are sure of hearing of court cases on d legality of d elections whether d APC participates or not 4 Likes |

You see our yeye judges. The suspension of Onnoghen got a lot to do with so many corruption cases frustrated by the judges.. This is a pay back time from FG 13 Likes 1 Share |

I don't think any country in Africa churns out , as much lawyers as Nigeria yearly , yet our judicial system is in a state of pandemonium...our country has no regard at all, for law and court rulings... remember the time Buhari was told to release Dasuki , by a binding order from an ECOWAS court , he still didn't release him ....we only have laws on paperwork , we never put it into action !! 10 Likes 2 Shares |

There is no conflicting judgement as the cases are different. There are two faction in Zamfara APC and they both approached different courts. A faction went to FHC Abuja while another filed its case before the high court in Zamfara. Those in Abuja couldn’t proof their case so they lost. Those in Zamfara argued their case beyond reasonable doubt and won. The Zamfara high court judgement remains valid and doesn’t contradict the Abuja high court judgement in anyway. 12 Likes 1 Share |

It means inec will maintain status quo which means that their earlier stand of disqualified apc stands until a superior court (appeal) makes a superior pronouncement 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Mynd44:You are very intelligent and smart,no wonder you re an admin.you have justified your nairaland post. Actually both courts are correct.the court merely told us the obvious, interpreting the laws and what inec can do and cant.it didn't order inec to do anything.it only reminded inec its duties and her powers to act which is interpretative as you said.but the gusau court having seen all the facts and evidences before it that apc actually conducted primaries and inec erred by not accepting its list simply ordered inec on what to do.this is binding and declaratory. 4 Likes |

senatordave1:While one ordered it to reverse a stand, the other maintained that they are in the right on their stand. You see how both nils off each other. It will have to take a superior court to change inec stand and with the courts going on a total shut down, I fear the APC may not have time to follow that thru 3 Likes 1 Share |
