abhosts:. Good question. There would be an answer but the readily available one would be that everybody wants APC for president while they make their choice for others. 1 Like |

Reader530:Kindly crosscheck the combined votes recorded by PDP in Southern Kaduna(chikum,Zangon Kataf,Sanga,Kaura,Jaba,Kajuru,Kachia,Jema'a, Kauru and Kagarko LGAs) was 464,911 representing 25% of the entire votes casted. El -Rufai took a calculated risk which eventually paid off for him but it was a tough one. The 349,257 votes for PDP from other parts of the state shows that PDP could have done better if they had a better candidate with the right capacity. PDP lost the election from their primary election as the ticket was sold to the highest bidder and not the person with the right capacity to challenge the incumbent. A lesson to all political parties in the future. 4 Likes |

27Pushing30:There was more voters apathy during the gubernatorial election in kaduna compare to the presidential, so no the question wasn't rhetorical. |

Mahsums: Only an illiterate or fanatic will say Elrufai don't need SK votes. The election was politics and not a fight between SK and NK. If it were so, then i will agree that the NK candidate dont really need the SK votes to win. This is cos there are more muslim voters than Christian voters in Kaduna. Voters, Not Population. I voted against Elrufai and of coz, I ain't happy he won. However, that is politics. A winner must emerge and there is nothing I or anyone can do about it. I will personally pick Elrufai over Ashiru on a good day but since Elrufai hates me, I can't love him either. That said, deep within you, you know Elrufai won due to 1. Federal might and collaboration with securities 2. The PDP candidate was quite weak. Upon that, He didn't run a robust campaign. 3. Elrufai as usual used religion to gain favor. he knows that the average Northern Muslim has a very fanatical disposition. Even when Yakowa contested against a Muslim, we didn't hear the kind of nonsense divisive statements we heard like now that he contested with a fellow Muslim. My joy though is that he hates us in SK and we showed him our disdain for him too. I only hope that the division he has brought in Kad will end now that he has won else, all I see is a timebomb of curfew upon curfew. |

Ark111: I agree with u that PDP had a bad candidate. A strong candidate would have floored Elrufai. I however disagree with our assertion as most of our other brothers do, that SK brought 25% votes. Where did u leave the votes APC won in SK ? where did u leave the votes SK people brought in parts of Lere and Kad South LGAs? SK certainly gave rufai a good run. Since I started voting in 2003, my leaders have never told me which direction to go. Even during Yakowa, no one told us anything but they had to now that Elrufai has shown his unrepentant hatred for our people. That alone speaks volumes of who he is. I hope Kaduna remains peaceful under the bigot. |
