This is not true. The companies are not Miles away.
Bonny Town is sand witched by SPDC's Bonny Terminal and the NLNG plant. Both companies have always responded to calls from Bonny and Finima Town.
The SPDC Gate is in fact inside Bonny town.

NLNG is located all the way in finima and even shell that is in bonny considers what it does in terms of fire service to bonny as a community's service. They will not forfeit an on going fire emergency within it's business to attend to the community, and you think bonny, as a steadily growing community will not unfortunately record more fire incidents? So the island should keep depending on companies that set up those facilities for their businesses in the first place. Bonny is growing and will grow further with the completion of the road. Why does Port Harcourt need fire station when shell RA is in there, plus other multinational companies?

you believe those companies that built fire stations for their business will continue servicing bonny as it grows in leaps and bounds, including a road coming down the line. Go and tell the Rivers state government to shut down all fire stations In Port Harcourt because SPDC and other multinationals have fire stations in their RA and other outfits in Port Harcourt.
