The Governors are in charge of their respective state's party structure. Hence, every party member must align with the overall party intetests. Sabotage is an haram. -python amaka 4 Likes 1 Share |

sexiestharam:They also have a stake, their decision affects the governors too. Btw, it's not just about Nigeria so don't use that to bash Nigeria. Hope you read when the senators from Kaduna blocked a loan approval by the senate for Kaduna state because they felt it's not good for the state or because they have issues with the governor, so good or bad, they always have an impact 3 Likes 1 Share |

SirBunky85: I KNOW U ARE NOT LEARNED AND PROBABLY WILL NOT UNDERSTAND WAT AM SAYING NEXT. THE POINT HERE IS SEPARATION OF POWER. BUHARI IS TRYING TO CRIPPLE OUR DEMOCRACY BY CONTROLLING ALL THREE ARMS OF GOVERNMENT. THAT IS DICTATORSHIP. BUHARI WANT DICTATORSHIP UNDER A DEMOCRATIC DISPENSTATION. HE HAS ALREADY REPLACED CHIEF JUSTICE, NEXT IS NASS AND DAT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

BRIEF LESSON FOR THOSE OF U WILLING TO LEARN. NIGERIA IS A DEMOCRACY WITH THE EXECUTIVE (PRESIDENCY), LEGISLATIVE (NASS) AND JUDICIARY (JUSTICE SYSTEM-COURTS). THE INDEPENDENCE AND SEPARATION OF THESE THREE ARMS OF GOVERNMENT IS TO AVOID ABSOLUTE POWER AND POWER CORRUPT ABSOLUTELY. WAT BUHARI IS TRYING TO DO, IS CONTROL ALL ARMS OF GOVERNMENT IN OTHER TO DICTATE. THAT IS TURN NIGERIA DEMOCRACY TO DICTATORSHIP. |

if everyone is allowed to vote according to their free it will be a recipe for disaster.....aligning with the president...anyway dos governors have no vote in d house...lets wait til June to know wat ll happen...let lawan and gbaja win in a contest dat ll be ok...going in unopposed is nonsense...let those who feel de can rule compete and be voted for... |
Re: APC Governors, Others Endorse Lawan, Gbajabiamila’ by hammerFC: 7:26pm On Apr 15, 2019 |
OGHENAOGIE: THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS BUHARI APC EXERCISE IS THEY SHOULD GO IN UNOPPOSED. IS DAT NOT DICTATORSHIP? DEMOCRACY WOULD CALL FOR FAIR VOTE AND ELECTION BUT NO, BUHARI HAVE SPOKEN. |

There's no need to talk too much. Let's watch and see as I don't know the business of former governors on he leadership of the National assembly. We don't want rubber stamp Senate president and speaker. |

SirBunky85: Don't mind these fifth columnists and Devils advocate masquerading as champions of democracy. They want a repeat of what happened in Buhari's first term so Nigeria makes no progress and continues to drift. I.e the hijacking of the upper and lower house by Saraki and Dogara who then used their respective office to frustrate everything good APC wanted to do for Nigeria. Same won't be allowed to happen this 2019. Governors are free to direct Senators they work closely with to back NASS leaders who will help Buhari and the APC achieve progress for Nigeria because this is what any genuine APC representative at any level should want after victory at the polls. Funny the haters of Nigeria we know well are the only ones now hiding under the guise of Voltrons of democracy and speaking against Buhari and the APC gaining supportive NASS leaders. Democracy is about majority rule. Nigerians gave Buhari the majority vote he needed to become their leader. He therefore possesses the mandate and deserves the right to have his decisions, at the very least, considered positively by the NASS. This will not happen with enemies of progress leading the Upper and lower house. Proactive effort therefore has to be made by every well-meaning APC politician to ensure the NASS debacle of 2015, that saw the emergence of Saraki and Dogara, is not repeated. While separation of power is a tenet of democracy not to be violated, We should not also wish for the total opposite where agents of regression hijack powerful office to use as a tool to frustrate the progress of ordinary Nigerians. |
