texazzpete: "A statement released by the U.S. attorney's office on Monday, May 20, 2019, revealed that his Fresno-based arms brokering company, Dolarian Capital Inc. (DCI), had been denied licenses to broker international arms deals by the U.S. Department of State beginning in 2013 and continuing through 2014". gulfer:for the first time. I'm proud of Jonathan. That date period the US humiliated Nigeria by refusing to sell weapons to Nigeria. Even tho I wasn't in Nigeria then, the world was following what was ongoing in Nigeria. I'm equally aware that Jonathan was desperate to deal with insurgents. This illegal deal never came through but it was a great try. If u can't come through the front door, u come through the back door 1 Like 1 Share |

fineboynl: Dolarian is accused of trying to broker an illegal arms deal in 2013 and 2014 with the Nigerian government. Court documents show Dolarian, through his company Dolarian Capital Inc., was trying to sell high‑explosive bombs, rockets, military-grade firearms and aircraft-mounted cannons from Eastern Europe and South Africa to Nigerian officials. The problem with the $8.4 million deal, prosecutors allege, is that Dolarian’s company did not have permission from the State Department to do so. Despite a lack of authorization, Dolarian is accused of pursuing the transaction, working with Societe D’Equipments Internationaux (SEI), a French arms brokering company acting on behalf of Nigeria, for the purchase of the weapons and explosives. It happened in 2014, uncle Source https://www.justice.gov/usao-edca/pr/former-fresno-resident-charged-illegally-brokering-sale-military-arms-foreign 2 Likes |

sonnie10: Do you think business runs in America the way it runs in nigeria? Where you can just do anything and get away with it? Why do you u think road traffic officers would not run after you when you beat a speed limit? - it's because the transaction would go by your bank as your number plate is attached to your account, so also the renewal of ur drivers license same applies, now to business license, and let me stress this point it is a license, so it's renewed on a yearly basis or as deemed right by their laws- which means his license could have been renewed in 2014, 2015 etc but because there was a ban for those 2 specific years 2012/13 and he transacted a deal , he committed an offense and that was what he is been charged for - if you notice all the arms nigeria has been using to prosecute this war has all come from Ukraine or Russia since this administration came to office 1 Like |

xwolverine: Meaning his license was not renewed for the year 2013 and 2014 , that doesn't mean it was not renewed in 2015, be that as it Maybe, the activities took place during the period when his license, was not renewed 1 Like |

this is not really news. the big nations put restrictions in place to stop smaller nations from getting access to weapons (for valid & nefarious reasons). it's natural that the smaller nations patronise the black market to get the needed weapons. besides, even the US makes black market deals for arms... 1 Like |

olajide8:First, nobody’s Vehicle registration is linked to their bank account. Moreover, there is always provision for an appeal process for traffic tickets. It never happens that they dip into your bank account. Back to the issue at hand. Do you know what status of limitation means? Let not even get into that. The arrest is in 2019 and there is no indication in the story the deals happened earlier, other than appendixes by mischievous elements here. |
