• It’s a dead zone; don’t come here with high hopes and creativity, you will end up in the warehouse and factories
• Education: The academic system here is unnecessarily tough and the certificates are not well recognized, most average black family here send their kids to the UK or USA
Accomodation crisis: be prepared to share a room and bathroom with three people while you share a kitchen with like 15 -20 people
• The immigration process is slow and expensive; you have to pay to get your visa upon arrival asides the payment you made in Nigeria, after studying for a year and your visa expires you will pay and get appointment (which is a very slow process i.e you can wait 2 months to be able to get an appointment date)and renew your visa for another one year when that expires you pay again and get an appointment but the only difference is that this time you must show proof that you have been trying to get a job and details of job applications and interview
The standard of living is unnecessarily expensive; when you get here you wont even be able to afford basic things of life such as coke and Fanta, for lades things like toiletries and sanitary towels cost a fortune
• Transportation; this cost between 80-100 Euros per week
Wages; here in Ireland you get paid weekly, every Friday morning you get your wages and it will mostly go on rent, transport and feeding and the cycle continues, you are only allowed to work maximally for 20hours
• Health; seeing a doctor cost as much as 100 Euros and you will only get a note to get drugs from the pharmacist (cost depends on the drugs) or go do test (Usually 200-300 Euros), Ambulance service starts at 100 Euros

If you're intending to travel either for a degree or immigration purposes, ask me questions and i will be sure to reply you

This is what happens when you travel abroad ill-prepared as a student.

1. You get what you paid for..sharing a room with 3 people and kitchen with 15-20 is because you can't afford more suitable accommodation.

2. If you are a student working 20hrs a week and was able to pay rent, transport and feeding then you have no reason to complain.

Did you budget between 650 – 1,000 EUR/month before leaving Nigeria? That is the average cost of living in Ireland as a foreign student.

1. Bear in mind you are paying not less than 450 to share a room with these people
2.To be able to afford to pay your bills you need to work more than 20 hours therefore, people work in restaurants and all manner of places just so they can ay them cash and not have it in their records

The cost of living in Dublin is more expensive than the Uk
The IT companies or companies generally don't employ Nigerians because they don't want to go through the stress of getting you a work permit. you need a stamp 3 or 4 visa or an Irish Passport to be able to get a decent job....

If you think that Nigeria is hard then wait until you leave Nigeria ill-prepared then you will miss every bit of Nigeria.

And the most painful thing is that, they will still not come back to Nigeria, despite their complain about the country.

That country is expensive, if you did your research well, you should know that, am currently working on migrating there.
it's cheaper to live in places outside Dublin.
let's learn to do proper investigation and research about a country before migrating.

This is really surprising...
Ireland is regarded as one of the top 5 prosperous nations in the world by the legatun institute....
It's even rated the 3rd richest country in Europe...
What exactly is the problem....
Is it hostile to foreign nationals or general lack of opportunity....
