Na Wa for this country oh! I thought that after I pass my driving test,my Insurance should go down. Instead our Providers are claiming that as a New driver I’m a high risk driver and want to add £400 to our existing insurance for our previous car and this one that we want to do, they are costing at over £900. So should we just kuku lie and keep renewing with Intl Driver’s license. I’m confused. |

Lol welcome to the world of insurance, unfortunately this is how it works, they are bloody thieves. Try and check comparison sites to see if you can get cheaper, also check Aviva. I pay less than £500 and I've only had my full UK licence for 1.5 yrs. Please don't think about lying o, it will invalidate your insurance and you won't be covered if you are involved in an accident. All you can do is start building your no-claims history and in a few years, your insurance should reduce. Mamatukwas: 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Mamatukwas: If you lie and need to make a claim, they could ask for copies of the named drivers licence...... This would simply invalidate all your insurance policy and made null and void and you would become financially liable and or could face prosecution....... And international license can only be used for one year and must be produced with corresponding passport, when required to do so......... |

dustydee: Do some research and invest/trade a few grand in shares, they are a 'hidden' goldmine which a lot of middle-class immigrants tend to ignore. Put some spare £10,000-£20,000 into shares like Petrofac (PFC) or Severn Trent (SVT). The projected capital growth from their current share price coupled with the juicy mid-yearly dividend could give you a net return of at least 20%-25%/year. I know guys that borrow money on credit cards at 0% interest, invest in shares, pay off the credit card slowly with their monthly income from employment. Rinse and repeat the cycle again. When you do this a few times with £10,000 each time, you will soon have a share portfolio worth over £100,000. 14 Likes 8 Shares |

claremont:Thank you. I think you or someone here has mentioned those cpanirs before. I have been following Petrofac shares and missed an opportunity to buy some months ago when it went below £4, it's now close to that price again. I will consider buying this time. |
