This post shows that your initial comment and follow-ups was actually made from a position of ignorance.

It is customary, that is, common practice in Sub-saharan Africa. During the inauguration of an African President, all sitting Presidents or their Vice/Deputies must attend the inauguration. Except in instances of war, massive natural disasters or severed diplomatic relations.

We learn every day.

The Igirigi is Nigeria's first mass produced indigenous Armoured Vehicle. It was launched in 2012, solely designed by the Nigerian army and built with technical assistance from Streit group.

As an old timer in this thread, back in 2014, I shared photos of the Igirigi manufacture in Bauchi.

The Igirigi is the basis for Nigeria's current surge in building armoured vehicles.

The army's recent LAV, although a better variant of the Igirigi shares many design characteristics with the Igirigi.

Better mobility, armour reconnaissance and night driving capabilities.

The Commander Kenya Army Lieutenant General Walter Koipaton has paid a visit to Kenya Defence Forces troops deployed in close and deep operations serving under the African Union Mission in Somalia. The Commander visited Elwak, Burahache and Gherile Forward Operating Bases.

Notice the MD500s in the background pic 1 ready to provide CAS.

This might not be military related but it's definitely inspirational. 20 teenagers put together a 4-seater plane to fly from South Africa to Egypt with hope to inspire other teens.

The pilot is 17 and her co-pilot is 15.

Judging from the 1st pic only, I wouldn't step into that aircraft. That is not a sanitary work environment for a complex piece of machinery carrying human lives. Even if they are just assembling it.
