plaindealer: You posted pictures of an Airport that has been functioning since 1992 and is under the control of the Federal Government. Keyword: FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. The cargo airport Rochas built and commisioned, and is currently expecting Ihedioha to open 'so that we can reap the economic benefits now' is the one I am expecting you to give its location, thank you. 2 Likes |

DesChyko: 1. Cargo airports like the one in Imo state are always a combination of terminals and airport, exactly what Rochas built in Imo state. 2. Cargo Airports are always built inside existing airports with planes flying directly to the cargo terminals and storage warehouse instead of regular passenger terminals. 3. You obviously don't know the meaning of cargo airports, you think cargo airports are separate and independent airports built far far away from regular airports, no, they are always built inside or beside existing airports. 4. Asking or questioning the economic impact of a cargo airport sounds very elementary and shallow, cargo is the safest and cheapest form of transportation of goods and services from general merchandise, machinery, farm/Agric products and so on. The fact that you don't know the economic benefits or use such services doesn't mean other people don't. 5. Availability of a cargo airport is a credible infrastructure that companies and investors base their business decisions on, like facilities needed to easily and safely move their goods and services in and out. 6. Such facilities generate and circulates jobs and money within the local economy and even brings in investment. Sadly for Nigeria, you so-called leaders of tomorrow are decades behind in your thinking, your vision is very poor and you can not reason beyond cheap political propaganda, pettiness, hatred and bitterness. Why you people hate and dislike good things that you should be proud of and improve on beats me. How sad.. 1 Like |

plaindealer: That was a lengthy one, lthough it still completely failed to answer the one and only question I've been asking since. Keep parrying then. Two sentences would have done justice to the question. Just two sentences. WHERE IS THE CARGO AIRPORT ROCHAS IS EXPECTING IHEDIOHA TO OPEN SO THAT WE CAN REAP ITS BENEFITS, OGA? Question on location and you are giving me definition (and other unecessary paraphernalia) 1 Like 1 Share |

He said the move is to enable them key into the over N250 billion annual air freight export market out of Africa. Other African countries are making hundreds of billion from cargo handling of Agric produce while Nigeria is not even on that radar. Now a sensible governor with vision tapped into that market with a world-class cargo facility and a useless, backward, bitter and petty governor and his ignorant followers are denying the people and themselves the positive benefits of this wonderful infrastructure that's probably the best in Nigeria. Why is it that in Nigeria, some are desperately trying to move forward, others are trying to go back into the stone age. 1 Like |

plaindealer:The useless corrupt Okorcha refused to pay pensioners that served the state all their lives and diverted their pension and gratitities to acquire a N10 billion plus estate empire. The state cannot do anything about the airport it is up to FAAN,airport's fall under the jurisdiction of the federal government. 3 Likes 1 Share |

ChiefkeefGB4: Can the FAAN administer the airport or can the businesses, farmers and the citizens of Imo state conduct commercial activities, generate money, move goods and services without the state government opening the cargo airport for business? Look here Mr Ignorant, it is a state infrastructure/property even though constitutionally, the FFA operates airports in Nigeria. What about the other African countries and their farmers making billions from cargo handling? Are their cargo airports not operated by their FG? How shallow can these backward people be for heavens sake.? Enemy of Nigeria and enemy of progress. 1 Like |

plaindealer: A lot. Of course, I initially perceived you normal, but then, 10 comments in 16 in quick succession from you, pursuing an ignorant cause led me to check you out and I wasn't disappointed. Although I should have noticed the sycophantic tendencies all along. Guess I gave you too much credit. And in all your infinite wisdom, you also joined Rochas in calling for a governor to open an airport that is controlled by FG. That is very thick of you. Are you always like this or you're putting in an extra effort today? What next? You'ld ask him to open a ministry for an FG controlled airport too. Chai. Minding your business is very good o. At least, you wouldn't be treading blindly. |

[s] DesChyko:[/s] You people no dey taya with your ignorance and low mentality sha... FAAN manages airports in Nigeria, but there's a difference between ownership and management. The aiport doesn't belong to the FG, it belongs to the people of Imo state, the FG is the manager and Imo state government is the owner. The land and the cargo airport are strictly owned by Imo state and the FG can not tell you when to close or open your airport unless there are safety or regulatory restrictions. Now, going back to your weak and lame comment, what's the FG managing the airport got to do with the people of Imo state, investors and businesses making money and creating jobs through businesses activities and moving good and services in and out of the airport? Or you mean the people of Imo state can not transact business activities with the cargo airport? You mean Agric businesses can not ship their products in and out of the airport because the FG is managing the airport? You mean the local businesses grow their businesses by shipping their produce to the EU and the USA like the other Arican countries making billions every year can nit generate IGR and create jobs in Imo state just because the FG manages the airport? You people are not 2-year-old children, reason above elementary school children level. This is really embarrassing. 1 Like |
