Oby Ezekwesili Questions Sowore’s Continued Detention By DSS by WNRblog: 3:14pm On Sep 26, 2019 |
Former education minister, Oby Ezekwesili, has questioned the continued detention of the convener of the #RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore, by the Department of State Service (DSS). Justice Taiwo Taiwo of a Federal High Court in Abuja had on Tuesday ordered that Mr Sowore should be released from DSS custody immediately and handed over to his lawyer, Femi Falana, who is to produce him for arraignment whenever he is required. Mr Falana, however, was unable to secure Sowore’s release on Wednesday despite the publisher of Sahara Reporters meeting his bail conditions. In a tweet sighted by Igbere TV on Thursday, Mrs Ezekwesili asked if there was a reason why the DSS had not freed Sowore. “Why is @YeleSowore still detained by DSS under the supervision of the Presidency @NGRPresident @MBuhari?” she said. “Is there a reason given for this apparent disobedience of court order after Yele’s lawyers fulfilled the condition laid down by Justice Taiwo Taiwo for his release? WHY” She had on Wednesday hoped the DSS would “speedily comply with Justice Taiwo’s ruling, seeing that the lawyers of @YeleSowore have themselves duly fulfilled the set bail condition.” The former presidential candidate added: “The DSS is directly supervised by Presidency @NGRPresident and so @MBuhari, the world is watching you.” http://igberetvnews.com/1024352/oby-ezekwesili-questions-sowores-continued-detention-by-dss/ Lalasticlala Mynd44 Dominique

What do they expect from a terrorist/coup plotter buhari? Do they think that an illegitimate govt with record breaking disobedience to court orders and impunity will obey any court order? It amazes me that grown ups who should know better, especially those who witnessed's buhari's military regime in 1983 believed buhari, a coup plotter is a reformed democrat. Buhari and democracy are two straight lines that will NEVER meet. *** Those hailing Sowore as a national activist who fought Abacha's evil military regime should know that activist who fought military rule, only to support the election of a military Coup plotter have rubbished their resume's. 1 Like |
