Bros find way by all means and go your USA, it’s the best decision. I ve seen people who have more than 20 million in this country that end up broke after some years, bros park your load and run as fast as your money can take you. Run! It mustn’t necessarily be USA cuz their conditions is really stringent presently you can go other countries that are doing well like USA. Bros Run!

Travel through legit means, boast your cv, settle there get enough money, build houses here in nigeria and most importantly get health insurance abroad. One sickness in nigeria could swallow all ur money

Hello dear nairalanders.

Please I'm going through a state of mental confusion.

Currently i have approximately 20 million and 300 thousand naira in my bank account.

I have two thoughts.

1) I am 25 years old but I'm not a university graduate, i only have ND (National deploma) from a polytechnic In Edo state, Auchi precisely.

I would have become a graduate years ago but after my "ND" years ago, i refused to go back to school and i decided to hustle for money.

Most of my classmates in school back then are all graduates but all the same, looking at my bank account now, i have no regrets.

So this is what i plan on doing.

1) Can i further my Education In any university in the United States with the money and plan on staying back after my degree, for the fact that I'm 25.
Will that be advisable?

2) should i stay back in Nigeria and use part of the money to build a house In my hometown in Benin and use the rest for business?

3) Is there a chance of going to USA and start all over again, look for job.
Will the money be enough to rent a house, foot some bills untill i see a job in the USA.

Note i choose USA only because it's my dream country, I'm not scared of the traveling ban because I'm 100% confident that it will be taken away few months from now.

Please i won't be replying any mention or questions.

All i want is to take note of good advice.

I already know a reliable traveling agent.

Please other suggestions are welcomed apart from mine.

Please help

Look for a school in Canada or Australia, you will be fine.

20million is just $56,600.

With a master degree in STEM in USA, you will make that money in 6-7 month before tax.

If you have a sure way of leaving Nigeria to either Canada or USA, you better take the chances now.

Thank you.
And with such amount.... please don’t fall into wrong hands in the name of travel agents.

Unfortunately, Nigeria as a nation frustrates legitimate businesses.

Look for a cheaper school in Europe if you are self sponsoring yourself.
Buy a genuine property (as in a commercial or good residential building) here in Nigeria to be bringing you rent later.
Schools in Germany, Norway and Italy are places to get good degree with which you can apply for scholarships or jobs later in the US.

What type of business are you doing in Nigeria that generated that huge sum of 20m. Why not continue with the business if it ain't illegal. Unless you're lying cause someone that worked to get 20m will continue working with same strategy to get 100m and tour the world for vacation if he intends traveling.

With 20M you can become very rich if you invest that in Nigeria. Don't just start a business, start a business that solves problems. If you want idea I won't give it out here. We talk privately. I'm not asking for a dime but will be part of it on the long run cool.

Go to the US start school then invest half in shares immediately you get the chance. Don't you ever sell it while in school but still find job there are so many there that pay about $20/hour so you are lucky self, work about ten hours a day too (this is to sustain yourself) then after everything when you graduate you will be grateful you left this failed country. But it must not be the US you can choose Canada they are making things easier for immigrants nowadays US are busy forming for the world.

Me thinks, the money is not enough to give you the good life in America, but can start you off well enough then with some more hustle, you will make it bigger.
Get an admission into a US university, study for a degree and while at it you can get some lil student job to support yourself and possibly you can delve into car imortation business if you have someone you can trust down here in Nigeria or some other things which you will notice once you are in the system in the US.
If you can hustle over time and make 20m in Naija, mehn, u should be able to make more overseas.
Those advising you to start business with the 20m too may have a point, but if you see the the way businesses are folding up due to the harsh business environment in Naija, you will fear.
Leave this country, and give yourself 5-6years overseas, you won't regret it. That's what I feel Sha.

Seems the "hustle" paid off big time. Do not forget, they do thorough check at the American embassy.

But to be sincere, if I was in your shoes. I will stay back and start a business. I don't know the business but I must find one.

That’s why nigeria won’t grow, we don’t grow our passion, all we need is Business, start a business. Allow the young man do the adventure. Life is a risk, out there in the other world it’s different, been in England change my perception about life out there in Nigeria, in Nigeria, it all about how to survive not how to improvise.. I may not sound all good to you but this is the basic truth, we didn’t grow up to go after what we passionate about but how to survive

Why do almost all Nigerians abroad always advise people to stay back? And you. Yourself has not returned back to Nigeria if it is so bad there.. The fella above is not an ajebo, I believe he burnt the midnight candle to make such ''kudi''... Bros I would advise you to try Canada/Australia or Germany with that. Money. Go there and find a way to learn more in the ICT field and I promise you will. Be alright once you acclimatise and get a good job in that profession. Your side hustle that gave you 20m may still be getting you money there too

No, thats a wrong notion to have. Look around your locality, and detect what is in high demand in your locality, then start importing.

From clothes, to building materials , like tiles, POP materials, wines and spirit, look for what sales in your locality.

If you have time and the energy, visit Aba, stay there for one week, every morning wake up and be moving around inside the town, you would learn a lot and be challenged.

Excellent advice, I plan on doing this soon.

Sincerely i am interested in any legal way of leaving the country.

As long as my stay in USA is legal, then I'm fulfilled in life.

I feel the school in USA will be more easier route.

But as long as I'm the USA, i have no problem, I'm an hustler and i can make big money legally in USA because i believe in myself.

Part of why i want to go to USA is that I'm a music writer and lover, i can sing very very well but i just have to drop music and focus on making money all these years.

But i know in the USA, even if i don't sing, i write songs very well and as a member of a drama group in school, i can act very well.

So i feel USA can give me the opportunity to explore my talent.
I can sell the songs i write.

Then don't waste your money paying for school fees in US only to get there not going to school then out of status.

You can't fulfill all that dream and talent living illegally and hiding from the authority

If you don't believe in yourself to continue your hustling in Nigeria.. Then travel out to country of your choice...

I think you've decided to go to another continent, right?

I'll advice you to think deeply because if you are loaded financially, you can achieve your goals any where in the world..

#10 million is a lot of money for someone that want to start any business in Nigeria not to talk of #20million. I've never been to America but I've been to several countries in Europe, Southeast Asia, Middle east and I can tell you that life is not that easy especially with visit or tourist visa. Living condition in those countries is expensive. Invest your money here and don't listen to all these children that are currently living under the roof of their parents on nairaland, they don't have any responsibility. You see that America or Europe, u can still go there when you are self sufficient cos by then embassies go dey nack you visa when you have reputable investment to point at cos they will know you are not going to their country to become an illegal immigrant.
