Hello people today is special to me personally and by extension all of humanity. 1987 years ago a man named Jesus died for what he believed in, he had a mission that is two fold 1) To set a pattern of life that is worthy of imitation ( 2 Peter 2:21) although the majority of people who claim to be his followers today are far away from the model he set, You and I can do something. We honour this Great man by living like him. Let's be a reflection of him. The second part of his mission was to give himself as a ransom in exchange of many (Matt 20:28) that is self sacrificing love which is the opposite of the self sparing attitude that we have today. I recall one of his followers recommending that self sparing attitude to him. It was Peter he said "be kind to yourself Lord you will not have that destiny" but Jesus bluntly rebuked him. May we also show such self sacrificing spirit in honour of this Great man.
Today world over some Christians would be commemorating the death of Jesus christ and having sober reflection of their lives as to how they can reflect the qualities of Jesus christ.
