Catholic is one church that I know for sure don't wait for crisis situations to assist. They are everywhere every blessed day all over the world providing food, education & healthcare to the poor and the needy. This may just be to specifically assist the efforts of the state government.

Good gesture but the acclaimed first church (catholic church) can do better than this

The Church has always been doing this without publicity since God knows when at parish level. Catholics ain't the only ones affected by this pandemic or in need of help, let the government make use of what it has been given in the right way.

The Catholic church is the biggest provider of charity outside of actual governments globally.

Instead of donating to their parishioners, they donated to the government..

When they need second collection or church projects, they better go to the government..

The church has no business donating to the government. Least of all Nigerian government.

If it is cash donations, it will be looted.

If it is material donation, it will be sold and the proceeds looted.

Go and inquire what happened to foods donated to IDPs.
