As a continuous exercise to ease the burden on residents during this Government lockdown to prevent the viral spread of Covid19 in the Country. Bariga Local Council Chairman Honourable Alabi Kolade David further its distribution of food packages to the Vulnerable, Widow and less-privileged persons within the community as stay at home continues. Saturday 18th April 2020, again the distribution train touched down at 5000 households in Bariga Local Council, the relief package distributed includes Rice, Beans, Garri, Semovita Coordinated by Bariga Youth. Recall that the first batch of the palliatives was distributed exactly a week ago, the chairman , and his Vice, Hon Adeola Kuponiyi, gave out palliatives to people of Ago Egun community in Ilaje and Pedro compound, also visited Igbehinadun primary school and Omo Alade Alafia street. The major stakeholders like the CAN, Muslim community, CDAs, Traditional chiefs were also not left out, top council officials also took the gesture to streets across the council to cushion the effect as directed by the chairman. The purpose of the Phase 2 relief package distribution was to accommodate more vulnerable residents which were not part of the first phase. #StayhomeStaySafe. Recall a publication with respect to the distribution of the relief package was made online while names were collated both Online and Offline through physical movement from household to household and the distribution went peacefully across the Local Council. While commending the ongoing relief packages initiated by the present Government led by *Hon Alabi Kolade*, the beneficiaries advocated that the relief package sharing has brought indeed relief to some households who has not benefited at all since inception of the stay at home order by Federal Government. One of the beneficiaries, a resident of Kusa Street Ward A Mrs. Okesanya was full of praise to the Chairman's saying the palliative was timely in reducing the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic. Also speaking with resident at different Wards, appreciated the Council Chairman for his kind gesture and good qualities that he has shown to all regardless of it plights, they pray that may Almighty Creator continue to strengthen him to do more. I'm in Bariga, only concern about our representatives here for now. Stop digressing, And all the elected representatives here are APC members.
