The Godfather II (1974) - 10/10
The Godfather Part II is a 1974 American epic crime film produced and directed by Francis Ford Coppola from the screenplay co-written with Mario Puzo, starring Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, Diane Keaton, Robert De Niro, Talia Shire, Morgana King, John Cazale, Mariana Hill, and Lee Strasberg. It is the second installment in The Godfather trilogy. The film is both sequel and prequel to The Godfather, presenting parallel dramas: one picks up the 1958 story of Michael Corleone (Pacino), the new Don of the Corleone family, protecting the family business in the aftermath of an attempt on his life; the prequel covers the journey of his father, Vito Corleone (De Niro), from his Sicilian childhood to the founding of his family enterprise in New York City.
Some have deemed it superior to The Godfather. Both Part II and its predecessor remain highly influential films, especially in the gangster genre, and are considered to be among the greatest films of all time. The Godfather Part II is now widely regarded as one of the greatest films in world cinema.

Many believe Pacino's performance in The Godfather Part II is his finest acting work, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences was criticized for awarding the Academy Award for Best Actor that year to Art Carney for his role in Harry and Tonto. It is now regarded as one of the greatest performances in film history.
Pacino and De Niro were the best characters. Pacino is a god! They killed it! My best scenes are the assassination of Fredo & the ending scene. If I could rate this sequel a number above 10, I would.

PS: The last pic is the original screenplay at the National Museum of Cinema in Turin.

Godfather I and II pushed the boundaries of what storytelling and acting can be, I can't stretch the significance of both movies enough. Al Pacino's Oscar snub was too criminal.

I'd like to see what you think of part III, that one gets a lot of bad rep from fans, myself included.

The acting in the Godfather trilogy is unimaginable. At a point, it would seem real. Pacino's Oscar snub is the most criminal in film history. It was too bad! For his best performance, at that!

Analyze this 8/10

When it came to comedy this crime picture delivered the goods, although the drama can be a bit off-putting and manhandled, but the godfather references are enough to make up for that. grin

Robert De Niro really lives to repeat himself. grin

That is because European countries are more organised. Applying for UK or EU visa is straightforward. Meet their requirements honestly and you get visa.
Not like USA where one fool who loves trump will deny you visa for no reason. My guy just got denied USA visa for his brother's wedding. This is somebody who studied in Czech republic and has been all over Europe.

Fvck America.

Yes, any black man who denies the racism in the republican party or the right wing is a house nigger.

I am not saying that a black man cannot be a republican or conservative but to deny the fact that the KKK and white supremacists always vote republican is just silly. It is better to say that you are a republican because of capitalist policies and less of govt intrusion into private life....but dont come and claim that your party aint got racists.

Did the guy he quoted and called a house nigger make any such claim in his post?

Why do you folks like taking things out of context and pointing fingers solely at the opposition?

Racism is everywhere!!! Slavery ended decades ago and guess what? You weren't even a part of it. I don't understand this need to be a victim and label people and whine about things that don't conform to your world views.

And why would I be republican eh cabron? I'm not even AMERICAN!!!

Yes, movies are also political. How did we get into debating politics? It started with a political movie.

No one is stopping you from posting your movie reviews or recommendations.

Furthermore, when you were having issues with your computer, you didn't go to the computer section on nairaland. You spent time here on this thread begging and receiving help.

I am just saying that you should come with clean hands if you want equity. Cheers

Yes, I asked for assistance, not beg (your choice of words is always very nauseating) but I didn't spend 6 fvcking pages discussing my computer, did I? You people derail without apology and then come online to defend your actions while it. At least when I derail I acknowledge I'm derailing. But not you folks.

Enough of this abeg. You and your friends should take your American politics discussions to the foreign section. We have tried.

Are you comparing your one self to 5-6 people? These 6 people will consume more pages because they are more. It took you 2 pages to resolve your computer issues.

Furthermore, the politics came from a political movie, you just came to drop your problems here from nowhere....

What of the movie Bad Boys? I think it's pretty good, although it received mixed criticism because of its similarity to Beverly Hills Cop.
