A 3-storey building located at no 88 Nkwere Street by Umuchu, Umuahia, Abia State has collapsed, ABN TV reports.

Collapse of the building came 20 minutes after authorities of Umuahia Capital City Development Authority (UCCD) got it sealed Wednesday evening.

Bros, for your information some CIVIL ENGINEERS are even more quacks than expected, meet 10 of civil engineering graduate give them dreawing to design and detail it for you, you will hadly get two out of them. They will all tell you that they specialize on highway but they will practice building construction. What do you call those engineers? Is better you talk of structural engineers, I'm saying this from experience

I'm 100% sure that the person DAT built that house went to school to study civil engineering.

Very Poor drainage system around the building and site must have contributed with low level foundation depth, resulting to foundation differential settlement and unfortunately collapse....
They could have prevented this menace if proper maintenance and channelling of waste water, solid water and rain water where adhered to......
